After a last meal they head off towards a stream to set a trap for the savage cathshi. Doreena gets a pretty good lay of the land and constructs two blinds to use as cover as the young prince acts as bait. Unfortunately the cathshi lives up to it’s reputation for intelligence and comes at the clearing from and unexpected angle. Since they still have some time they decide to shoot for a bit at the range. Turns out with the smart pistol Deck is a better shot than either Reggie or Nash. More importantly Deck actually cracks a joke. Afterwards they head out to Diaspora where the party has already started. While they are walking there is the sound of a person moving through the brush and Malachi calls out. The sonorous and echoing voice of the Fey replies and asks if the group will honor the terms of a parlay. They immediately accept and figure steps out leaning on a boar spear. The group says they are there to help the village and ask what is going on. The Fey replies that they are hunting a creature from their realm that has slipped into the investigators world. Another Fey steps out and the suggestion is made to go back to the Fey camp and eat and talk about tactics. The older Fey is kind of douchey but is willing to work with the party. Three more shoe in addition to a young shepherd have gone missing. Malachi and Doreena investigate the pen and find blood and many tracks. They decide to investigate into the woods. As they are following the tracks of the beast it becomes clear that the creature had taken to the trees to try and mask it’s trail before coming back down to the ground. Further investigation leads to the discovery of the sheep along with the eviscerated body of the shepherd. At this point they wisely turn back to the village. Meanwhile Macrion and Herminius go to speak with Antor and his daughter Kundrie about the strange gold coin that Kundrie found. Antor is making ready to leave for supplies. He says that the f

Jack Nash – John (Prime) Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) Decklan Laela - Jesse GM- Tod Foley Charlie is pretty insistent that he wants to go with Reggie, Nash and Deck back to Earth. They spend a bit of time arguing about it before Charlie relents and floats off into the air back towards the city. Despite wanting very badly to leave Nash has Reggie fly around to grab some B roll that Scilla can use for the show, finding an absolutely perfect location for the show. While they’re flying around Deck studiously erases Reggie from all of the film that was shot by the drone. Nash is somewhat hopeful that he can talk Scilla out of interacting with the cat people but she is dead set on having them on the show. It’ll make for great tv she says, before leading him upstairs. During their downtime Nash suggests to Reggie that they go out for Mexican and take Deck along to make him feel like part of the team. As they're walking and talking they realize that Rera seems to be assimilating more and more of their language. Deck believes that they are learning from Reggie. When they enter the building they can see it's outfitted as a large community mess hall. Unfortunately what's for dinner looks suspiciously like cat food. Luckily Reggie is able to use his lucid dreaming to make the food palatable. During the meal a cat person on the other side of the room is staring the group down. When they takes notice the cat person climbs up on the table he is sitting at and then begins to levitate while yelling at them in Chingsi. Rera starts yelling back and M’Chamra, the other cat, goes outside while Rera is telling them that M’Chamra wants to fight to the death. This is causes no small bit of consternation for Nash and Reggie while Deck pragmatically

The villagers are used to dealing with wolves and the occasional bear but these attacks are different. Some of the sheep were taken while someone was watching and one of the guard dogs was savagely eviscerated and it looks like the creature that did it made sure the dog suffered. There were also strange tracks that no one could identify. Malachi and Doreena are taken out to the site of the last attack. Doreena easily finds the tracks and determines that they look similar to the tracks a tiger might make, having seen them in a menagerie in Londinium. What tigers don’t have however is six legs and with that revelation they quickly make their way back to the farmhouse as night falls. Herminius and Macrion stay a

Luckily they have a clean place to stay and a few soaking rains helps to end the outbreak just inside of a month. As soon as the all clear is given the group starts back south to Camdelonium to check in with their patron, Fidelious Apher, and collect their pay. As they make their way south, a lone rider who has a message for Doreena meets the caravan. It seems that Fidelious has another mission for the group. A small village called Pentraph has suffered attacks on its livestock. Since Fidelious has business dealings with the village he wants the party to investigate and offer what help they can. The King says that the Lama is a religious figure of an ethereal nature. When Daryyl explains that he accepted a mission from the Lama’s monks the King indicates that it would be possible to extricate him from the promise if he wished to. Daryyl is noncommittal and after dinner the party heads to their separate rooms, much to Vinny’s dismay, and drift off to sleep. Petra dreams of dragons after spending some time admiring the large diamond they found on the beach. In the dream she seems to be able to summon the creatures and winds up riding one while in the mountains. Vinny dreams of riding the airships outside the city and seeing many treasures just lying on the ground ripe for the taking. Daryyl on the other hand has an uneventful and peaceful night sleep. King Koronus identifies himself not only as King but Dreamer of Celephais. He is pleasant and welcoming and bids them to stay at the castle. Petra washes up and relaxes so Vinny, spurred again, sits in his room petulantly. Daryyl on the other hand receives a group of visitors representing the Emerald Lama. They wear jade masks on their faces and wish for Daryyl to pass along a gift to someone who has wronged the Emerald Lama. Jack Nash – John (Prime) Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) Decklan Laela – Jesse GM- Tod Foley Reggie is easily able to make the slip jump to Unaris B and puts the Bago down right outside the town. While they are debating the best course of action to cat people come up to the vehicle and start banging on the door. Nash tries to communicate with the cat people but is unable to understand them. It does sound like they are trying to repeat words that he’s saying though. Reggie takes the lead and throws them a yarn ball and they love it. The more Reggie talks at them the more words they begin to pick up but to make things easier Reggie uses his lucid dreaming to try and create a universal language. It works, partially, and Reggie is able to communicate with the cat people. The longer Reggie, Nash and Deck are there the more they realize that the cat people seem extremely “scattered”. Nash has a bit of an existential crisis as they’re talking things through and is hit with the realization that maybe this

Scilla explains that she got a tip from some people over at the Nodex Interdimensional Transport about a dream world called Unaris B. They are looking to set up a trade agreement with the local inhabitants, who happen to be cat people. Scilla is excited by the prospect and wants the team to go and scout locations for the show and get some B roll footage. It turns out that Reggie is Familiar with Unaris B because of its startling similarity to Earth. Speaking of Reggie he’s been feeling pretty good these day, since the split with dark Matter. He feels like they are finally in charge of their own destinies and free of people telling them what they have to do. Things are just clicking for him, little positive synchronicities. He hasn’t had any sexual nightmares recently but he’s still not sleeping well. His dreams as of late are full of hopefu

The town is in a miserable state with the stench of death and decay in the air. Rats run freely through the streets as townsfolk remove dead bodies from homes. The mayor tells them that the doctor has been holed up in a warehouse that’s been converted into a hospital and that no one has seen him for days. Upon entering the “hospital” the stench is overwhelming and flies have been busy at work. There are many dead bodies but the faint sounds of those who still cling to life can be heard within. They make their way carefully through the “hospital” and go upstairs to find the doctors quarters. The room is filthy but seems to have been used but the doctor is not there. When they arrive on the scene the estate is a hive of activity as wagon are being loaded with all manner of supplies but mostly food and water. Apher explains that Venta Icenorum, a town to the north, has had an outbreak of plague and is being quarantined. His brother in law is the doctor there and he wants the supplies taken immediately to help relieve the town. The trip North takes two days and turns out to be quite pleasant and uneventful. When approaching the town however the smell of death and decay hangs in the air. There are bodies of civilians and legionaries littered outside the city. The centurion of the legion recognizes Doreena and Herminius and explains that some of the soldiers staged a rebellion along with some of the townsfolk in
