Rising early they continue on in their quest in search of riches. A little after midday Petra sees a strange creature staring out at her from behind a boulder. She alerts Vinny and Daryyl but before they can shoot it, the creature begins speaking to them in their heads. The creature tells them it knows where they are going and it is going the same way. It refuses to act a guide and says them should come in peace or all of it’s kind will be against them. The creature says that perhaps they will meet again and vanishes. The party presses on and finds the gorge following it further in and discovers a river. Jack Nash – John (Prime) Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) Decklan Laela - Jesse GM- Tod Foley Reggie, Nash and Deck wake to a gray, rainy day. Deck is downstairs making breakfast for everyone, a calculated ploy to further assimilate himself to the group. After breakfast they head over to DarkMatter to break the news of their impending departure to the rest of the Loose Guns. When they arrive the team is waiting and Tom looks tense. He asks if Reggie and Nash are really going to leave DarkMatter. Nash is confused until Tom explains that they saw it all on Scilla’s show. Nash confirms that he and Reggie along with Deck will be indeed be leaving DarkMatter. Tom relaxes and tells them he has been promoted to Captain, his first promotion in quite along while. There are hugs and salutes all around as the team wishes each other well and stay safe. Duke says that the team is behind Nash if he ever wants to take another stab at Somnambula. Jack Nash – John (Prime) Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) Decklan Laela - Jesse GM- Tod Foley Reggie starts acting a bit squirrelly when the group leaves the restaurant and Deck disappears. Nash invites Reggie back to his house and they take the coast road out and Nash really gets on the Appleghini. When they arrive at the house there’s a bus out front and Reggie tells Nash to yell, “Move that bus.” When he does so it reveals a large Winnebago, also parked in front of the house. Nash is justifiably confused and Reggie explains that it’s his gift to Nash because of all the things they’ve been through together personally and then begins to read the specs including the fact that the Bago is functional as a slip ship. Nash is flummoxed but hugs Reggie expressing his gratitude. Deck come wandering back down the street after moving the bus and has hacked nearly everything on the street. They all pile in and take in the new slip ship smell and Nash invites them to stay the night, as it’s already late.

Venari Hallerman (Rogue Trader) – John Kynnoch (Navigator) – Jesse Jarnan Morgun (Missionary) – Jon Emmaus Kore (Void Master) – Kevin GM – Neil The entire crew is shocked as Kynnoch is able to safely navigate the warp back to Agusia. Emmaus deftly sets up a synchronous orbit between the Heretics Bane and the planet and pilots the shuttle down to the mausoleum. The shuttle ride is awkwardly silent as members of the crew keep their own council pondering what’s to come next. Upon entering the demon chamber the tech priest Darius Adolium informs Venari that Rogue Trader Haldane has received his shipment and that there have been no interruptions. Kynnoch and Jarnan both immediately begin approaching the pool and the demon. Venari attempts to stop Jarnan who explains he just wants to take a sample of the blood while Kynnoch makes a beeline for the demon. Jarnan pushes past Venari and pours a container of promethium into the pool. Venari draws his power sword and begins shouting about a lack of discipline am

Kynnoch spends his time up on he observation deck, coming down only occasionally to return to the library. Jarnan bides his time walking the streets of Port Wanderer, occasionally burning people with a hot wire for their perceived heresy. Emmaus seems unconcerned and works with the crew to speed repairs to the Heretics Bane. Due to his commitment to the ship, Emmaus begins to acquire a cult of personality around him. Venari slips into a paranoid state after viewing the footage that the servo skull Kayne recorded. As the time for departure draws closer Venari returns to negotiate with Explorator Tallentrax. Salvius Horatious – Keeper Chad Iavolenus Tertius (Gladiator) – Bill Lucius Marius (Centurion) – John GM – Oscar The investigators arrive at Pella and head right to the temple, where Hamilcar greets them. While Cyan is prepared for the ritual Lucius, Iavolenus and Salvius get cleaned up and prepare themselves. Hamilcar explains that they will have to assist the ritual by chanting and that the ritual will take many hours. After a few hours of chanting Hamilcar shaves Cyan’s head and begins drilling a hole in her skull. When he removes the piece of skull everyone can see a dark shape dart away from the light of the lamps and Cyan begins convulsing. As they continue chanting Hamilcar sets up a large vase under the hole and a dark substance begins dripping out of the hole. After about an hour Hamilcar judges that the entity has been drained from Cyan as her body begins relaxing. He caps the vase with a wax seal and says that they should know tomorrow how Cyan will respond. When questioned about what

Once they return the conversation continues over dinner and the decision is made to attempt to implement their plan in the morning. Setting off early the investigators scour the town in search of Cyan but are unable to find her or the children. Running out of options they decide to head to ruins of the house where Iavolenus was stabbed before. At first they don’t see anything but they footsteps approaching and attempt to hide. Iavolenus and Lucius are caught in the open but Salvius manages to stay out of sight. Cyan pulls her rusty knife and raises her hand as she begins chanting. Salvius uses the opportunity to tackle Cyan, taking her to the ground and interrupting her spell. Lucius rushes forward and disarms Cyan but then a wailing sound begins to emanate from her body ca

Jack Crandall – Brett Randy Anders – Kurt Erin Shaughnessy – John GM – Neil After squaring away a few final details the guys take off for Bakersfield, the last known location of the robbers. Jack expresses the opinion that they should just kill the pair and be done with it but Erin and Randy reiterate that the primary mission is to find out whether or not the couple is extra natural or not. Then proceed accordingly. They arrive in Bakersfield late in the evening and begin by finding a hotel near the Circle K that was robbed. Erin flashes a badge while they’re checking in and they question the desk clerk, showing a picture of the criminals. The clerk says they don’t look familiar and Erin asks for the security footage for the hotel. He agrees and they review the footage in their room. Nothing turns up so they head out to the scene of the crime. Jack, dressed as a cop, questions the attendant about the robbery. The attendant wasn’t on shift at the time but says the guy who works the day shift shot t

Erin has a spiritual vision where he talks with Lord Huron. Erin learns that belief strengthens Lord Huron’s power and he gives Erin a ritual he can use. Afterwards Erin speaks with the Huron elders in his area about setting up a foundation dedicated to Huron beliefs and education. Edward calls and tells them he has a new mission lined up for them. The Ghostfacers are, as always, a little salty when dealing with Edward. Jack asks what the endgame is in regards to all of this and Edward says to save the world, one incursion at a time. He explains that the organization has existed longer than the government that they are working for and will be there long after it’s gone. Jack Nash – John (Prime) Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) Decklan Laela- Jesse GM- Tod Foley Despite his ability to see through the holodeck’s virtual reality Decklan still finds himself subject to its effects. Reggie tackles Deck to the ground slapping him to break him out of his daze. While Reggie and Nash turn to face the Hoom, Deck begins interfacing with the holodeck to try and turn it off. Just as Nash and Reggie take down the Hoom the virtual reality drops as Deck successfully shuts down the simulation. Nash begins lecturing Deck about mission parameters and working as a team. Nash says they’re going to run it again when Deck breaks in and says that there is someone in Bento’s office. He then clarifies and says that there is an incoming virtual call that Bento is on and swipes the call to their PDAs. Bento is talking with Blanche Regardie of X Investments. The call is wrapping up and she tells Bento that she’ll have a division waiting on Oranira 6 as soon as his people are ready. They head dow

Bento has called Reggie and Nash in for a meeting. He explains that it’s been over a week since he's filed the year end report for corporate and he hasn’t gotten a response. Bento admits that’s he's nervous about not only his job but also the fate of the division. Dark Matter as a company makes billions of dollars from their various enterprises but the DayTripping division is just about breaking even. Bento then surprises them both by pulling out a bottle of scotch and starts drinking. Nash and Reggie protest at corporates' inability to recognize their worth but Bento waves it off. As the conversation continues it’s clear that Bento hasn’t just started drinking as he starts slurring his words. He does seem to collect himself somewhat and tells Reggie and Nash that he maybe over thinking things and then he lies down on his couch and “takes a nap

Kynnoch is wondering why everyone is sitting in the ready room and there is a further discussion about what to do about the demon blood. Venari says that he agrees with Jarnan and that the blood should be destroyed. Kynnoch tries to create greater dissent among the command staff. Venari leaves and Jarnan hears the commandos that Venari had stationed in the hall in case things went poorly. Emmaus tries to offer excuses for Venari’s behavior. Jarnan calls Venari back and in turn Venari calls Gerhard to return to the halls around the ready room. Once Venari sits own Jarnan goes to the door and pokes his head out seeing the commandos down the hall.
