As the Prophets of old spoke, their message from the Lord not only spoke of sin and judgement, but also resounded with a message of restoration, forgiveness and hope. Hosea and his marriage to Gomer illustrate for us the magnificence of our God's great love for His people.

This morning we come to end of Abraham's life and a final powerful lesson. Here we find that Abraham had a good death, but what does that mean? We find that Abraham had a good death because he died satisfied in his God.

Genesis 24 is a magnificent story that focus' our attention on a tension of faith in which we all live, are we subject to chance or destiny? This lesson reminds us that the sovereign and powerful hand of God is always at work in, through, under and around all our actions, intentions, and efforts whether we recognize it or not.

In part 2 of "Becoming what we are", Nik walks us through Eph. 5:15-21. With each verse we consider what Paul is teaching us about what it means to follow Jesus and look at how we can apply what we learn to our lives. We look at what it means to walk carefully in our lives with God, understanding God's will, giving thanks, and much more. This is a very practical message and great reminder for anyone who has walked with God for years, or for those who are just beginning a relationship with Him."

Without a doubt Sarah became a woman of faith through her lifetime. Like her and the others listed in Hebrews 11:1-16 we must be those who do not shrink back, embracing God's promises and our new identity, pursuits and desires.

Often in our relationship with Jesus Christ we find ourselves in tension between two truths in scripture. This isn't a contradiction, but the tension of faith in which we must live. Abraham demonstrates for us this same tension as he has been promised the land of Canaan, yet owns none of it when Sarah dies.

Do we really know who we are? In this part 1 of 2 mini series, Nik thoroughly walks us through Ephesians 5:1-21. In a world that likes to push boundaries and live in the grey areas, this scripture teaches us how to discern between living in the dark and living in the light. This passage gives believers clear guidelines for living in line with God's truth so we can become what we are.

While most refer to Genesis 22 as the 'Sacrifice of Isaac', it's much more appropriate to title it, 'The Testing of Abraham'. The focus of the chapter is on Abraham and the impossible position the Lord put him in as a test. What will he choose?

Genesis 21:22-34 reminds that while we have the great and might, unchanging and sure promises of God, we're still living with Philistines. We have a lot to learn and grow in as we live with Philistines, looking for the hope and sure fulfillment of all God has promised.

How many times do we struggle with life because of the consequences that we set in motion due to our sinful choices? This lesson demonstrates one such situation for Abraham and reminds us that our God is still in control, even of our unintended consequences.

Genesis 21 demonstrates to us that God always keeps His promises. So what will our response to His faithfulness be?

Genesis 20 continues the story of Abraham and his journey of faith. In this chapter we find unfolding some of the initial fulfillment of the blessings of the covenant in his life. But as for Abraham being a blessing to others? Well, thankfully our God is sovereign and loves even those who are far from Him.

2 Timothy 2:11-13 is not the easiest passage to accurate interpret. This morning we examine this passage and from it learn the most important truth about the faithfulness of God...that He will always be faithful to Himself!

Psalm 138 displays what is our greatest source of confidence...that God will exalt above all things his Name and his Word. Continuing in this Psalm, we see five ways in which this truth plays itself out in our lives. We, indeed, can have great confidence in our God!!
