Then into adulthood, unless it's to do with your job, questioning things become discouraged. It's something we have been pondering for a while now and we dive deep into it, in this week's episode. We cover all the things that hold us back from speaking up and asking the tough questions, even if it means ruffling a few feathers. We even talk you through how you can question things when living additive-free. So, sit back and enjoy this episode into staying curious and as always, for the full show notes, head HERE. 25/05/2023 Duración: 09min

  • Jo's Gut Health Journey

    18/05/2023 Duración: 33min

The road to getting my gut health on track has been a long one, not going to lie! And the reality is I think it will be a lifelong commitment for me to maintain good gut integrity and to be honest, sometimes I fall off the wagon of doing the things I should, to support my gut, and then I have to get back on that wagon and correct it. What initially started this journey for me was learning all that I had through running our business here at Additive-Free Lifestyle. Over the years we have spoken to many gut health experts which got me thinking about my own gut health and gave me the insight to recognise that something wasn’t great with my own gut microbiome. Yes, even me who lives additive-free and has a low-tox environment and does all the things to support my body to stay healthy can still suffer with gut issues. For the full show notes of this episode including: What my symptoms were What was the catalyst for doing something about my gut health Who I saw to help me Why optimal gut health is so important And

  • Avoiding Aluminium: Protecting Our Health in a Toxic World

    11/05/2023 Duración: 07min

When I was in the midst of creating our app I was researching the additive, Aluminium (173) and let’s just say I was blown away! I knew as an additive it wasn’t great because I used to see it plastered all over baking powder containers in health food stores stating that they were ‘aluminium free’, and I knew that aluminium in deodorants wasn’t great either, but never in my wildest dreams did I expect it to be as bad as my research found. I’ve read so many studies on this additive and let me just say that in my humble opinion it should be banned as an additive and should NEVER be allowed to go in our body or on our body! For the full show notes of this episode including: Where you'll find aluminium How it can affect you What to be careful of How to avoid it And more Check out our full show notes at: Podcast Episode 186 If you have found some benefit from this podcast episode we would love it if you could give us a review in your preferred podcast app – as this will help get our podcast show out to as many pe

  • It's Been A Blast

    02/07/2020 Duración: 05min

This week, it's time to say goodbye. After much thought and soul searching, we have decided to no longer continue on with the show. It's been 4 years, yep we started in May 2016, and one heck of a ride! We honestly can't believe it's been that long. But if the last few years have taught us anything, it's that we have stretched ourselves way too thin and running ourselves into the ground is something we simply cannot do. We have so many new ventures in the pipeline that we're excited to bring you and we need to make room in our schedules for those. So it's not something to be sad about, it's simply a pivot to new directions. We're sure we'll interview great people along the way in the future and when we do we may just release a new episode here and there, who knows, we'll never say never! Regardless, there are over 180 episodes to revisit and sink your teeth into either via iTunes, Stitcher or listen on our website, including this final episode 183. Don't forget that each episode has its own show notes on

  • Guatemala – Part 2

    21/11/2019 Duración: 20min

In this week’s episode of The Whole Circle Podcast we talk all about our recent incredible trip to Guatemala. We’re back! We’ve arrived home safe and sound and our minds are still spinning from the amazing trip we just got to experience. Since our return, we have had lots of questions from people wanting us to articulate how the trip made us feel.  To be honest, it really is incredibly hard to articulate or to articulate it in a way that truly does it justice. It was definitely life-changing that’s for sure. It was also very humbling.  The communities we went to were living in extreme poverty.  We have witnessed this before given we spent some of our childhood living in Papua New Guinea, so we were not as shocked by it as we perhaps should have been or as shocked as some of our travel mates were, but the thing that struck us the most was that the people in these communities were extremely happy. They don’t know any different.  Living this way is their version of normal.  They have nothing to compare it to, so
