  • Reviewing The Last Of Us Part 1 & TMNT The Cowabunga Collection - Episode 296

    08/09/2022 Duración: 01h07min

One of the most controversial remakes/remasters/re-releases is finally out in the wild. The Last Of Us Part 1 is built from the ground up for PS5, but is it worth the full price of $70? The guys have both spent a few hours with it so far, and give their thoughts so far on this newest version of one of the best games ever made. Last week also saw the release of the TMNT Cowabunga Collection, including 13 games, along with impressive extras like instructions manuals, box art, magazine ads, and lots more. It is an impressive collection, and the guys give their full thoughts on it as well. Other topics include Assassin's Creed Mirage, Xbox's impressive Friends and Family program, and more!   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 TMNT Cowabunga Collection - 7:45 The Last Of Us Part 1 - 26:20 Assassin's Creed Mirage Announced - 40:20 Xbox Friends and Family Revealed - 45:25 Wrap-Up - 51:05

  • Everything That Was Announced At Gamescom - Episode 295

    31/08/2022 Duración: 01h23min

Gamescom 2022 is in the books, with the biggest news coming from, of course, Geoff Keighley's Opening Night Live stream. With a healthy mix of world premieres and new looks at already announced games, the show had something for everyone. With that being said, it did suffer from the same issues that Summer Game Fest had with commercials and bloat that dragged down the presentation as a whole. Nevertheless, the guys run through everything that was announced over the 2 hour runtime. Other topics include the weird Amazon and EA rumors, NPD July results, easy Platinum trophies, and more.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Amazon Did Not Buy EA - 4:50 Sean Watched Dark Phoenix - 8:20 Bloodstained x Journey - 18:20 Child of Light - 20:00 Stray's Hardest Trophy - 23:50 Space Kabaam 2 & 3 - 27:55 Gamescom Recap - 34:15 NPD July - 1:04:55 Wrap-Up - 1:08:40

  • Blossom Tales 2 Review & Embracer's Acquisitions Just Won't Stop - Episode 294

    24/08/2022 Duración: 01h16min

Blossom Tales 2 has been released, 5 years after the first Zelda-like, and it was one of the few remaining games of 2022 that the guys were looking forward to. Kevin has beaten it, and Sean is near the end, so they give their full thoughts on the game. On the news side of things, Embracer's acquisitions just keep on coming. This time they acquired the Tolkien-verse, along with Limited Run Games and a few other companies as well. The biggest news, however, came from a line in their press release (which has since been redacted) that seemed to indicate the beleaguered KOTOR Remake is still alive but has switched developers. Sony also revealed some details around what Team Asobi has been up to, with the studio seemingly getting ready for expansion, and a leak from Amazon shows that Dead Island 2 is alive and well and primed for a release early next year.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:00 Sushi Talk - 2:15 Farewell Better Call Saul - 6:25 House of the Dragon - 12:00 PlayStation's Interesting Uncharted Twee

  • PlayStation vs Xbox in Brazil - Episode 293

    17/08/2022 Duración: 01h16min

More details emerged this past week on documents submitted by both Microsoft and Sony in Brazil in response to the potential acquisition of Activision. If you thought the Console Wars were dead, they are alive and well between these two companies. There was a lot of finger pointing, but aren't both companies accusing each other of the same thing? And aren't they both right? Take Two also revealed in their latest financial briefing that they expect GTA 6 to set creative benchmarks in the gaming space, but also for entertainment in general. This seems a bit much, but if anyone can pull it off it is probably Rockstar. Other topics include the return of Alone in the Dark, saying goodbye to Better Call Saul, Garou Mark of the Wolves, The Town vs The Departed, and more.   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  Breaking Bad Video Game Almost Happened - 4:15  The Town vs The Departed - 9:15  Fall Guys Community Night - 16:30  Garou Mark of the Wolves - 21:50  Stray - 25:55  PlayS

  • A Crazy DMCA Takedown & AEW Fight Forever Details - Episode 292

    10/08/2022 Duración: 01h04min

The dog days of summer roll on, and the news in the video game world continues to be slow to say the least. Nevertheless, your favorite brotherly podcast is here to cover what there is! Square Enix issued a DMCA notice to Patreon to force Sacred Symbols to take down their reading of a leaked script for the next Tomb Raider, essentially confirm it's authenticity in the process. THQ was also revealed to be the publisher for the upcoming AEW Fight Forever, along with a slew of new details about the upcoming throwback to the N64 days of wrestling games. Other topics include our favorite gaming YouTubers, what we are doing with our backlog during this slow period, Nintendo's financial results, and Kevin's first crown in Fall Guys.   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  Ups and Downs of the DCEU - 2:40  Twitter Sucks - 7:05  What Are Our Favorite Gaming YouTubers? - 10:40  Are We Going Thru Our Backlog? - 19:10  Revisiting Fall Guys - 29:35  Square Enix v Sacred Symbols - 37:

  • GTA 6 Leaks & KOTOR Remake Delayed Indefinitely - Episode 291

    03/08/2022 Duración: 01h30s

Two reports from Bloomberg set the stage for this week's episode, as they leaked details around GTA 6, as well as the unfortunate report that the KOTOR Remake is in serious trouble. The guys cover the GTA 6 leaks first, as we found out the reported setting of the game, protagonist details, as well as the plans to expand the game and map in the future. All of this sounds great, but could the reported changes at Rockstar also change what makes GTA, GTA? On the KOTOR front, it seems that the project may be in serious jeopardy of ever releasing, as Sony was not at all impressed with a recent demo of the game, causing two high level members of Aspyr to be unceremoniously fired. Other topics include more details on PSVR2, getting the Platinum in Stray, Kevin rapping about insomnia, and lots more!   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 The Guys Are Tired - 2:05 SummerSlam Was Fine - 8:55 Stray Platinum - 10:30 GTA 6 Leaks - 21:55 KOTOR Remake Indefinitely Delayed - 33:20 PSVR2 Updates - 40:05 Wrap-Up - 48:05

  • The Leaks Of Us & Reviewing Stray w/ James Soler & Derek Bamford - Episode 290

    27/07/2022 Duración: 01h52min

It's been a while since we brought out the Multi-Tap for a podcast, so this week we are joined by two of our friends in James Soler and Derek Bamford! The Last Of Us Part 1 continues to be a hotly debated topic, and that increased even more this past week when leaks began to surface that seemingly contradicted what Naughty Dog had been saying about the remake. After this, PlayStation released a 10 minute video detailing the enhancements to the game, but opinions remain mixed to say the least. Speaking of Naughty Dog, we also found out that Bruce Straley has re-appeared and formed a new development studio, and the godfather of FPS games, John Romero, also revealed that he is starting work on a new FPS in Unreal 5 with a "major publisher". Sean and Kevin also give their thoughts on the game that has taken over Twitter since it's release, Stray.    Start - 00:00 We Have Guests! - 00:20 Mortal Kombat (2021) Sequel Inbound - 4:05 Comic-Con Talk - 9:55 God of War 2018 - 31:20 Red Dead Redemption 2 - 34:30

  • Outer Haven - Episode 289

    20/07/2022 Duración: 01h15min

PlayStation had a busy week with closing the Bungie acquisition, as well as officially acquiring Haven Studios. The Haven acquisition is probably most interesting, as a recent interview detailed that the acquisition is about much more than the game they are working on, as there will be a heavy focus on cloud technology and R&D. PlayStation also announced their Stars loyalty program, which seems similar to Nintendo's reward program. Other topics include Elden Ring's continued sales dominance, Cuphead DLC, revisiting God of War, and more!   Start - 00:00 Patreon Changes! - 00:40 Congrats to Colin and Micah!! - 4:35 God of War 11/11/22 Mix-Up - 6:00 Cuphead DLC - 10:05 Revisiting God of War - 21:30 Sony Acquires Haven Studios - 36:15 PlayStation Stars Loyalty Program Announced - 45:10 NPD June 2022 Results - 52:15 Wrap-Up - 58:15

  • Ragnarok Arrives in November & E3 Officially Lives - Episode 288

    13/07/2022 Duración: 01h17min

OF COURSE the release date for Ragnarok was announced right after the last episode was recorded... Now that we know when we will all finally get our hands on the much anticipated sequel, it's time for a hype check. Also, do the collector's editions give us a hint at a certain weapon we will be able to wield as Kratos? The ESA also announced that they will be partnering with ReedPop to revamp E3 in 2023 and try to bring it back to life. The problem, though, is that if the big guns aren't interested in E3 (as they clearly no longer need them), what will E3 actually be? Square Enix did a round of interviews that gave a lot more insight into Crisis Core, and apparently it is much more than "just a remaster".  Other topics include Sean getting the Platinum in The Messenger, Kevin doing the same in Shredder's Revenge, Kojima being labeled as an assassin, and much more.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Kojima isn't an Assassin - 3:30 Apparently Thor isn't Great - 8:50 Kevin is Old - 19:40 Stranger Thin

  • Ragnarok Drama and Metroid Prime Remastered May FINALLY Be Close - Episode 287

    07/07/2022 Duración: 01h18min

The guys are back a week earlier than expected, because Kevin had to push his cruise to the fall after a family member tested positive for Covid... Because of this (and because they recorded before God of War Ragnarok officially got a release date) they run through all the drama around Santa Monica Studio and the harassment toward devs at the company over the past week. They also go through a report from Jeff Grubb indicating that Metroid Prime Remastered is FINALLY coming out this holiday, and 2 and 3 will be coming to Switch at some point as well. Nintendo also held a mini Direct focused on 3rd-party upcoming games, and while it wasn't the best show ever there were a few games that caught their eyes. Other topics include Sean's trip to San Diego, revisiting Top Gun after 30+ years, Stranger Things 4 Part 1 thoughts, Sean's journey through PS Plus, Kevin getting the Platinum in My Name is Mayo 3, and their continued love for Shredder's Revenge.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 So Much For Kevin's Cr

  • Shredder's Revenge Review & Non-E3 News Fallout - Episode 286

    22/06/2022 Duración: 01h13min

The moment we have all been waiting for finally arrived with the release of Shredder's Revenge. The guys are loving it so far, with Sean already getting the Platinum, and they give their full in-depth thoughts on of their favorite beat-em-ups of all time. Sean also upgraded to the mid-tier of the new PS Plus offering and goes through the games he's been playing so far. They also run through the Final Fantasy 7 stream, as well as the Capcom stream, and the NPD results for May. As a side note, due to upcoming vacations the guys will be gone for the next two weeks, but will be back and better than ever after that!   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 We're Gone For Two Weeks - 1:45 Random Ramblings - 4:40 Thoughts on PS Plus So Far - 11:45 TMNT Shredder's Revenge Review - 23:15 Final Fantasy 7 Stream - 44:35 Capcom Stream - 54:35 NPD May 2022 Results - 1:03:00 Wrap-Up - 1:06:30

  • Recapping Summer Game Fest & The Xbox Bethesda Showcase - Episode 285

    15/06/2022 Duración: 01h45min

Summer Game Fest has come and gone, and the announcements weren't the most exciting to say the least. The Xbox Bethesda Showcase wasn't much better, but did finally show off what Starfield's gameplay looks like. Nevertheless the guys go through everything that was announced at the shows. Sean also FINALLY got the Dark Souls 3 Platinum, Nick All Star Brawl isn't really fun, and Sean has the lead in our predictions so far.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Sean Finally Platinumed Dark Souls 3 - 5:35 Nickelodeon All Star Brawl - 10:00 Super Perils of Baking - 12:50 Summer Game Fest Recap - 18:35 Xbox Bethesda Showcase Recap - 1:01:4 5Predictions Results So Far - 1:29:20 Wrap-Up - 1:32:55

  • The Best Ever State of Play & Predictions, Hopes, and Dreams for Summer Game Fest - Episode 284

    07/06/2022 Duración: 01h32min

After being burned so many times in the past, the guys kept their hype levels to a minimum for Sony's latest State of Play. What they never could have imagined was that the show would deliver it's most impressive outing yet. From Resident Evil 4 Remake, to Horizon: Call of the Mountain, to The Callisto Protocol, and Final Fantasy 16, this show was an absolute banger from beginning to end, and they couldn't wait to cover everything that was shown off. After that they jump into their annual episode of Summer predictions, hopes, and dreams, and with E3 once again disappearing they focus on Summer Game Fest and potential announcements throughout the next few months. As always these range from plausible to pie-in-the-sky. Other topics include Super Perils of Baking, Diablo Immortal, and the all-time great My Name is Mayo 3...   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  Kevin's AC Broke - 00:50  Sean Saw Sonic 2 - 3:20  Spoiler-Free Stranger Things Thoughts - 8:10  More Dark Souls 3... - 10

  • State of Play Predictions & A Spectacular Missed Opportunity for Xbox - Episode 283

    01/06/2022 Duración: 01h25min

Sony is kicking off Summer Game Fest with their first State of Play in a few months, said to be focused on third party games and a sneak peek of PSVR2 games as well. That, of course, won't stop people (including Sean and Kevin) from getting overhyped, and it also means it's time for some predictions to be made. Star Wars Celebration saw the reveal of the long-rumored sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, now officially known as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. While the first game didn't blow either of the guys away, there is a solid foundation that they both will be fully realized into a great sequel next year. We also got a lot of news about the future of PlayStation from their latest financial results and conference calls, Xbox passed on Spider-Man as an exclusive game before it landed on PS4, Sean is still making his way toward the Dark Souls 3 Platinum, and Kevin revisited an old friend on PS3.   Start - 00:00Housekeeping - 00:10 State of Play Predictions - 5:20  Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Revealed - 17:00

  • PS Plus Initial Lineup Revealed & Multiple Silent Hill Games in Development - Episode 282

    25/05/2022 Duración: 01h28min

We are nearing the launch of the "All New PlayStation Plus", and Sony finally revealed the initial, partial, lineup of games that will hit the service at launch. There are definitely some heavy hitters on the list, but the guys both think the service seems to be more designed for newcomers to the PlayStation ecosystem. Ubisoft also announced that Ubisoft+ will be coming to PlayStation as well, and that Ubisoft Classics will be bundled into the two top tiers of the service. We also got reports that there are multiple Silent Hills in development, including a Silent Hill 2 remake, an episodic series, and a new mainline entry as well. Other topics include a late Sonic 2 movie review, Norman Reedus leaking Death Stranding 2, Sean trying out It Takes Two, and KEVIN GETTING THE PLATINUM IN ELDEN RING!!!   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Sonic 2 Movie Review - 2:00 Chip 'n Dale Movie Review - 6:00 Norman Reedus Leaked Death Stranding 2 - 9:05 Revisiting Super Mario RPG - 20:45 It Takes Two Thoughts - 25:05 Re

  • Starfield and Redfall Delayed to 2023 - Episode 281

    18/05/2022 Duración: 01h08min

"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." That famous Shigeru Miyamoto quote is probably ringing in the heads of all Xbox fans after Bethesda announced that both Redfall and Starfield have been delayed to the first half of 2023. With some developers apparently being worried that if Starfield released this year it had the potential to be the "next Cyberpunk", the delay is a good thing, but it does leave Xbox without any exclusives for the rest of 2022. EA also officially announced that they are ditching FIFA, and that their annual soccer release will now be titled EA Sports FC. FIFA, however, isn't sitting idly by as they have pledged to release their own soccer game to directly compete with EA. Other topics include NPD results for April, lots of sales updates specifically for Switch and PS5, Sean's Dark Souls 3 Platinum quest, Kevin's Elden Ring Platinum quest, and Sean's thoughts on Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Sean Saw Dr. St

  • Embracer Makes a Big Move & Gotham Knights Skips Last Gen - Episode 280

    12/05/2022 Duración: 01h11min

After a week off, due to Kevin being deathly sick, the boys are back in town! The trend of acquisitions continues as Embracer has purchased Square Enix's western studios for $300M. While Square Enix didn't seem to ever be content with the output and success of these studios, the price tag seems like an incredible bargain when you look at the IP alone that is part of the acquisition. In other surprising news, WB Montreal announced that the last gen versions of Gotham Knights have been shelved and the game will only release on current gen systems and PCs this October. This has the guys excited as the industry slowly starts to pivot away from last gen consoles, but neither are sold on the game just yet. Other topics include NPD results for March, Sean's seemingly never-ending Dark Souls 3 Platinum quest, Kevin doing the unthinkable (in his mind) and beat Malenia in Elden Ring after about 70 tries, the guys thoughts on Switch Sports, and much more!   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 MGSV Nuclear Disarmamen

  • Ragnarok is (Hopefully) Coming - Episode 279

    27/04/2022 Duración: 01h10min

God of War Ragnarok is easily one of the most anticipated games slated for 2022, but we haven't seen or heard anything about it since last September. On the fourth anniversary of God of War's release last week, the Animation Director tweeted that the game is still coming out this year. The guys discuss whether or not they believe him, and what they think a potential release date could be. We also got news that ANOTHER Star Wars game is in development, this time from Amy Hennig and Skydance New Media. Hopefully this will end up being what Project Ragtag could have been. Other topics include leaks of a GBA emulator on Switch, Sean's never-ending Platinum journey with Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring finally breaking Kevin, and lots more.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Sean's Second The Batman Viewing - 3:55 BCS and Breaking Bad Talk - 6:55 Sean's Dark Souls 3 Platinum Adventure - 11:45 Elden Ring Finally Broke Kevin - 18:25 Ragnarok Still Coming This Year? - 27:10 Amy Hennig Finally Gets a Star Wars Game - 3

  • Max Payne Remakes and Kingdom Hearts IV Announced - Episode 278

    13/04/2022 Duración: 59min

Last week was a slow one for news, but there were two big announcements that will make some people very happy. Max Payne 1 and 2 are both getting full blown current-gen remakes, and Square Enix randomly announced Kingdom Hearts IV on Sunday morning. Neither of these games are on the radar of the guys, but they still run through their thoughts on both announcements. There has also been some concerning reports about PS1 game functionality on Vita, Sean beat Dark Souls 3, Kevin tried Elden Ring NG+, but Tunic still isn't really clicking with him just yet.   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  Beating Dark Souls 3 - 2:45  Elden Ring New Game Plus - 15:55  Tunic isn't Clicking - 26:20  Max Payne 1 and 2 Remakes - 33:05  Kingdom Hearts 4 in Development - 38:30  PS1 Classics not Working on Vita - 46:30  Wrap-Up - 50:10

  • The All New PS Plus and Reviewing Tunic - Episode 277

    07/04/2022 Duración: 01h40min

After month's of speculation and rumors, Sony finally unveiled the All New PS Plus ahead of it's release this coming June. While we know what the tiers will contain and what the pricing will be, but without a lineup of announced games, the guys are unsure if they will be taking the plunge. In sadder news we got word that E3 is officially canceled, and Breath of the Wild 2 has been delayed until Spring 2023. Other topics include Kevin beating Elden Ring, reviewing Tunic, Sean trying out Dark Souls 3, and what they thought of WrestleMania.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 WrestleMania 38 - 5:55 What Were Greg Miller's 3 Big PS Stories? - 17:45 Dark Souls 3 - 23:40 Kevin Beat Elden Ring - 30:00 Tunic Review - 41:30 PS Plus Revamp is FINALLY Official - 55:40 E3 is Canceled - 1:12:10 Breath of the Wild 2 Delayed to 2023 - 1:17:05 Wrap-Up - 1:26:00
