    27/04/2022 Duración: 01h10min

God of War Ragnarok is easily one of the most anticipated games slated for 2022, but we haven't seen or heard anything about it since last September. On the fourth anniversary of God of War's release last week, the Animation Director tweeted that the game is still coming out this year. The guys discuss whether or not they believe him, and what they think a potential release date could be. We also got news that ANOTHER Star Wars game is in development, this time from Amy Hennig and Skydance New Media. Hopefully this will end up being what Project Ragtag could have been. Other topics include leaks of a GBA emulator on Switch, Sean's never-ending Platinum journey with Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring finally breaking Kevin, and lots more.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Sean's Second The Batman Viewing - 3:55 BCS and Breaking Bad Talk - 6:55 Sean's Dark Souls 3 Platinum Adventure - 11:45 Elden Ring Finally Broke Kevin - 18:25 Ragnarok Still Coming This Year? - 27:10 Amy Hennig Finally Gets a Star Wars Game - 3

    13/04/2022 Duración: 59min

Last week was a slow one for news, but there were two big announcements that will make some people very happy. Max Payne 1 and 2 are both getting full blown current-gen remakes, and Square Enix randomly announced Kingdom Hearts IV on Sunday morning. Neither of these games are on the radar of the guys, but they still run through their thoughts on both announcements. There has also been some concerning reports about PS1 game functionality on Vita, Sean beat Dark Souls 3, Kevin tried Elden Ring NG+, but Tunic still isn't really clicking with him just yet.   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  Beating Dark Souls 3 - 2:45  Elden Ring New Game Plus - 15:55  Tunic isn't Clicking - 26:20  Max Payne 1 and 2 Remakes - 33:05  Kingdom Hearts 4 in Development - 38:30  PS1 Classics not Working on Vita - 46:30  Wrap-Up - 50:10

    07/04/2022 Duración: 01h40min

After month's of speculation and rumors, Sony finally unveiled the All New PS Plus ahead of it's release this coming June. While we know what the tiers will contain and what the pricing will be, but without a lineup of announced games, the guys are unsure if they will be taking the plunge. In sadder news we got word that E3 is officially canceled, and Breath of the Wild 2 has been delayed until Spring 2023. Other topics include Kevin beating Elden Ring, reviewing Tunic, Sean trying out Dark Souls 3, and what they thought of WrestleMania.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 WrestleMania 38 - 5:55 What Were Greg Miller's 3 Big PS Stories? - 17:45 Dark Souls 3 - 23:40 Kevin Beat Elden Ring - 30:00 Tunic Review - 41:30 PS Plus Revamp is FINALLY Official - 55:40 E3 is Canceled - 1:12:10 Breath of the Wild 2 Delayed to 2023 - 1:17:05 Wrap-Up - 1:26:00

    30/03/2022 Duración: 01h26min

A slow news week means a lot of tangents and ramblings from the guys, which they deliver in spades on this episode. (Obviously we recorded before the PS Plus announcement) Kevin wants to build an arcade cabinet, he saw The Batman for the second time, the guys discuss the deleted scene that was released, and also speculate about what this potential big week for PlayStation could turn out to be. Kevin is nearing the end of Elden Ring, PSVR2 was playable and wowed people at GDC, and Microsoft revealed some interesting stats about Game Pass and player spending. • Platinuming Elden Ring & Recapping the Latest State of Play - Episode 275

    23/03/2022 Duración: 01h33min

After a week off, the best podcast on the internet returns! Kevin had a great vacation in Chattanooga, TN, but he desperately needs a haircut. Also, Sean has an issue with confirmation numbers and wants to discuss them for some reason. In more important news, Sean got the Platinum in Elden Ring and Kevin is continuing his slow and steady journey through it. The guys both tried the PS5 version of GTA 5, which seems to be just more of the same but a smoother experience overall. They also run through everything announced at the Japanese-focused State of Play, discuss how Perfect Dark seems to be in real trouble, as well as the NPD results for February which included insane sales numbers for Elden Ring. It's good to be back!   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Kevin's Vacation - 2:20 Sean's Confirmation Number Rant - 4:40 Kevin Needs a Haircut - 6:50 Coffee Talk - 12:05 GTA5 PS5 - 15:25 Elden Ring Platinum - 23:35 State of Play Recap - 42:30 Perfect Dark is in Trouble - 59:35 NPD February Results - 1:08:45

  • We Can't Stop Playing Elden Ring - Episode 274

    09/03/2022 Duración: 01h11min

It was a very sloooowwwww news week in the world of video games, which means the guys spend the bulk of this episode talking about their progress in Elden Ring. Luckily for Kevin, after starting off lukewarm on the game, Elden Ring has finally clicked for him and he is now loving his 20 hours so far with it. Sean is still in love with it as well, and is making his way toward the 3rd dungeon. We also got some more updates on the current gen version of GTAV,  and Housemarque seems to be working on a new IP instead of a sequel to Returnal (which they both agree is a good thing).   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  Elden Ring is Awesome - 4:55  GTAV Current Gen Updates - 47:30  Housemarque Working on a New IP - 55:00  Wrap-Up - 1:00:05

  • Elden Ring Review - Episode 273

    02/03/2022 Duración: 01h45min

Rise, Tarnished! The crazy busy February comes to a close with one of the highest reviewed games of all time in Elden Ring and both of the guys have put in a good bit of time with it so far. They're both very high on it, but is it deserving of the 97 on Metacritic? The guys both also beat Horizon Forbidden West (Sean got the Platinum), so they give their spoiler-free thoughts on beating the game and how it compares to Zero Dawn. Other topics include PSVR2's full reveal, COD skipping 2023, and more leaks around Sony's upcoming Project Spartacus.   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  We're Seeing The Batman Early! - 3:05  Beating Horizon Forbidden West - 6:10  Elden Ring Review - 20:20  PSVR2 Design Reveal - 1:07:25  Call of Duty Skipping 2023 - 1:19:45  Spartacus Details Leak - 1:26:15  Wrap-Up - 1:33:35

  • Horizon Forbidden West is Awesome (So is Infernax) - Episode 272

    23/02/2022 Duración: 01h31min

The wait is finally over, Horizon Forbidden West is here! The game is easily one of the most anticipated games for both of the guys in 2022, and after spending around 20 hours with it so far it is living up to the hype. The guys go in depth on their thoughts of the game so far, and there are NO spoilers discussed. Before getting to Forbidden West though, the guys both also played through the newest retro Metroidvania adventure in Infernax, and it is awesome as well! Other topics include the Wii U and 3DS eShops closing next year, Super Mario RPG's director wanting to make a sequel, and that disgusting Street Fighter 6 logo.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Infernax Review - 2:20 Horizon Forbidden West Review - 28:05 Wii U and 3DS eShops Closing in 2023 - 1:08:10 Super Mario RPG Director Wants a Sequel - 1:14:30 Wrap-Up - 1:19:05

  • A Meaty Nintendo Direct & So Much for Activision Exclusivity - Episode 271

    16/02/2022 Duración: 01h12min

Nintendo released it's first direct in a while this past week, and it was chock full of fun announcements. From a new Mario Strikers game, to Switch Sports, the guys cover everything that was announced. Xbox fanboys were in an uproar when Microsoft announced that future Activision Blizzard games, even after current agreements have expired, will still come to PlayStation and possibly Switch as well. Is Microsoft getting worried about the US Government shutting down their acquisition? To us, they definitely are. We also got a report with new details on the much-rumored Resident Evil 4 Remake, PS5 and Xbox Series both outsold Switch for the first time, and much more!   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10  Super Bowl Picks - 2:45  Obi Wan Kenobi out May 25 - 7:30  Horizon Forbidden West Preload Available - 13:40  Beating Concrete Genie - 19:50  Castlevania Anniversary - 24:10  Nintendo Direct Recap - 32:05  So Much for Activision Exclusivity - 56:35  RE4 Remake Details

  • GTA 6 Finally Confirmed & Mina The Hollower Revealed - Episode 270

    09/02/2022 Duración: 01h26min

In the least surprising news ever, Rockstar has officially confirmed that the "next GTA" game is in development (which has subsequently been referred to as GTA 6). While this isn't surprising in the least, it is good to finally get confirmation that we will be getting a new mainline game at some point in the next few years. Rockstar also revealed the release date for GTA 5 on current gen systems, as well as the improvements that will come along with it. Yacht Club unveiled their first new game since Shovel Knight in Mina the Hollower. Curiously though, even with the success of Shovel Knight, they are once again going the kickstarter route which is an interesting choice to say the least. Other topics include the guys starting to plan for Episode 300, thoughts on the Contra and Castlevania Anniversary Collections, and financial updates from Sony and Nintendo.   Start - 00:00  Episode 300 Talk and Tangents - 1:05  Kevin Saw the Future - 10:05  PSVR2 Site Goes Live w/ Preorder Notification - 2

  • This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race - Episode 269

    02/02/2022 Duración: 01h19min

Before January could even come to a close we got ANOTHER huge acquisition in gaming. Sony has announced that they are purchasing Bungie to the tune of $3.6B, their biggest acquisition yet. Unlike Microsoft, however, Sony immediately announced that Destiny 2 and projects currently in development by Bungie would remain multiplatform. While this is a good move by Sony, it does beg the question - Why? In other acquisition related news, it appears that the next three COD games will still be coming to PlayStation, but that may be all... Other topics include Respawn making 3 Star Wars games, getting the Trigger Witch PS5 platinum, Royal Rumble 2022 thoughts, and much more!   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  Halo TV Trailer Looks Good? - 3:55  Royal Rumble Thoughts - 7:50  Peppa Pig & Trigger Witch Platinums - 12:00  Concrete Genie - 22:15  Sony Buys Bungie - 31:10  CoD Staying on PS Until 2024? - 51:45  3 Star Wars Games Coming From Respawn - 58:20  Wrap-Up -

  • Xbox/Activision Fallout & Trigger Witch PS5 Review - Episode 268

    26/01/2022 Duración: 01h22min

The gaming industry is still reeling after the blockbuster announcement from Microsoft last week that they were planning to acquire ABK. While there is still a lot to be determined over the next year-and-a-half, we have heard more from Phil Spencer and Sony, and the guys run through all of it. Also, apparently Bobby Kotick tried to buy Kotaku and PC Gamer to try and forcefully change public perception about how horribly he was running ABK. Before that though, the guys give their thoughts on the free PS5 upgrade to one of their favorite games from last year in Trigger Witch. Long story short, it was great on PS4 and it is still great on PS5! Other topics include Sean's long journey to the Final Fantasy X Platinum, the guys' PlayStation Wrap-Up for 2021, and NPD for December and all of 2021. Kevin got Covid so this was recorded over Zoom unfortunately, so we apologize for any drop in audio quality. Next week we should be back to normal!   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 0:10 Kevin Got Covid - 1:55 One Hell of

  • Microsoft Buys Activision Blizzard - Episode 267

    19/01/2022 Duración: 55min

Shockwaves were sent through the video game world Tuesday morning when Microsoft announced it was acquiring Activision Blizzard for roughly $68.7B! The guys planned on taking the week off because of Covid and life, but this monumental acquisition forced them to reconsider. It's time to discuss everything we know so far about the news, and discuss whether it is good or bad for the industry as a whole. Kevin also has some very strong thoughts about everyone's favorite "good guy", Phil Spencer.

  • PlayStation VR2 Info Blowout - Episode 266

    12/01/2022 Duración: 01h07min

It's a Single Player edition of the podcast this week, as Sean is out taking care of a new baby! Podcasting alone isn't easy, but Kevin luckily got a good deal of questions from the audience to help steer the conversation this week. The big news this week, though, surprisingly comes from CES where Jim Ryan officially named PlayStation VR2 along with giving a lot more details on the powerful specs of the upcoming headset. We also got our first teaser of Horizon Call of the Mountain, the long-rumored VR game set in the world of Horizon which is being co-developed by Firesprite. The last big item this week is an update on Days Gone sales numbers from the director himself, as well as news that Bend Studio tried to pitch Sony on an open world Resistance game. This of course makes Kevin a bit sad that it never came to fruition...   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  Sean Had a Baby! - 1:25  Dexter New Blood Spoiler Free Thoughts - 2:40  Kevin's Gaming Slump - 10:45  Viewer Questions

  • Looking Ahead to 2022 - Episode 264

    28/12/2021 Duración: 01h06min

Depending on your personal preference, 2021 was a decent year in video games. 2022, on the other hand, is shaping up to potentially be one of the best years ever. From Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring early in the year, all the way to Starfield in November, the guys sit down to cover all the scheduled releases for 2022. None of them will get delayed to 2023, right?... Right??

  • Splinter Cell Remake Confirmed! - Episode 263

    22/12/2021 Duración: 01h01min

After rumors swirled a few weeks ago about a NEW Splinter Cell in the works, Ubisoft has now confirmed that a REMAKE of the first game is officially in the works at Ubisoft Toronto. Ubisoft hasn't exactly had the greatest track record as of late, so the guys take a hype check on the project. PlayStation has finally announced the option for PS5 owners to purchase different colored "covers" for the PS5, along with more color options for the DualSense. The question still remains though, why don't they just do a design studio like XBox does?!? Other topics include revisiting Final Fantasy X, GTA Online's new DLC, Death's Door, and NPD results for November.   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Spoiler-Free No Way Home Talk - 1:20 Revisiting Final Fantasy X - 6:35 GTA Online The Contract DLC - 11:00 Apple Slash Platinum - 18:20 Death's Door - 20:30 Splinter Cell Remake in Development - 28:30 PS5 Official Faceplates Announced - 38:55 NPD November Results - 44:45 Wrap-Up - 51:20

    15/12/2021 Duración: 01h55min

The more than 3 hour long 2021 edition of The Game Awards is officially in the books, and it sure was something... The guys run through all the announcements and give their thoughts on the show as a whole, and what this should become in the future. (Spoiler alert, they were not impressed at all) Last week included a bombshell from Jason Schreier that blew the lid off of PlayStation's planned answer to Game Pass. Unlike The Game Awards, this has the guys excited, as long as the pricing is right. Other topics include a ton of games and platinums they've earned recently, Colin Moriarty's reporting on Bioshock 4, GTA Online's upcoming story expansion and much more.   Start - 00:00  Housekeeping - 00:10  Free Guy is Awesome - 2:45  Fast 9 is Horrible - 9:50  Death's Door Platinum - 15:15  Space KaBAAM Platinum - 24:10  Duke Nukem 3D Platinum - 28:40  Mortal Shell Thoughts - 34:00  Kevin Gives Up On GTA Vice City - 37:15  The Game Awards Were Not Good - 43:25

  • Chrono Cross Remake Rumors & Kojima Goes Hollywood - Episode 260

    01/12/2021 Duración: 01h04min

Chrono Trigger is considered by many to be one of, if not THE, greatest JRPG ever made but its PlayStation follow-up Chrono Cross doesn't seem to be held in the same regard. Perhaps this could be why a remake of the game is headed our way, after being mentioned in the infamous Nvidia leak from a few months ago. Sean loved Trigger, but not Cross, so he has thoughts on what this remake could end up improving on the game. Kojima Productions announced that they are opening an LA based studio to help get them into the world of TV and movies, but hopefully this won't take our lord and savior Hideo Kojima away from gaming any time soon. Also, it may not be a good idea to get your hopes up for more Half-Life anytime soon, as a recent report suggests that Valve is solely focused on the Steam Deck for the time being. Other topics include My Friend Peppa Pig, Kevin's thoughts on GTA Vice City, Sean nearing the Platinum for the Castlevania Advance Collection, and much more!   Start - 00:00 Housekeeping - 00:10 Tom H
