This is the 7th installment of our music segment THE SUBWAY:UNDERGROUND RIDE OUT where we give a round of applause and expose some GOOD indie music. All of the songs on this segment have been vetted by our K-100 Radio Audience through our "ILL or KILL" show. So I have been on the road performing, and also attended a record pool and music conference since the last "ILL or KILL" so we are stocked up on new music to present to the people. In case you never heard this segment, its simple and plain: we play new music submitted by INDIE artist and the CALLERS tell us if it's "ILL" (dope music) or if it should be "KILLED" (its wack) I DO NOT GET TO VOTE! Everyone has their calling. What we all choose to do with our lives is our own business unless it becomes a hazard to others. In todays society, we have gotten away for having respect for people's GRIND. Now there seems to be only certain trades or a certain amount of money has to be made for someone to respect your grind. Back in the day a skill was a skill...a barber had respect for what he does because thats what he does and everyone needs a haircut. Same for the butcher, postal carrier, cook..whatever. But now it seems that unless you make a certain amount of money, it is hard to gain the respect, be it from your family, the opposite sex, or even "friends". No career can be as shinning of an example of this as that of the aspiring hip hop artist. The degree of disrespect that you get when you are SERIOUSLY trying to make a career as a hip hop or even RnB artist is mind blowing. MORE MUSIC, LESS TALK, that is the theme of K100's all music segment "THE SUBWAY: UNDERGROUND RIDE OUT". We let the music play in these segments so throw on ya headphones and rock out to some great INDEPENDENT artist. The more music that has been submitted the HOTTER the playlist get. The only way to pay your toll and get on THE SUBWAY is to have your song played on the other music segment "ILL or KILL" and let the K-100 CALLERS give you a passing score. So plug up ya monitors and let us ride in the background while ya do what you do, but also call in if you have a chance and tell what you think of the music we are playing. 

As you may have noticed, I'm going into a segment oriented style of format here at K-100 Radio. This new segment "REALLY THOUGH?" is a new format that gives greater flexibility to the LISTENERS and myself when it comes to the TALK side of K-100. Although we will STILL have TOPIC SPECIFIC conversation episodes, those will NEVER leave the show, this lets us tackle MULTIPLE big story issues at once on the show. This way more people can call in and listen to dialog about a RANGE of issues instead of just one. The callers and listeners are given more power because they can bring up questions to ask ME and the other callers on the lines. Ill take TOP STORIES from REPUTABLE (and not so reputable *WSHH / TMZ) media outlets and let the people go at it with ME and EACH OTHER about the topics.

The more popular this segment gets the less I will have to type in this damn description. Once again I show love to all the indie artist that have sent me music to be reviewed live on the air. That takes guts and humbleness because the feedback you WANT isn't always what you get on the "ILL or KILL" Segment of K-100 Radio. But for those who did catch the ear of the listeners, we give them props and they have paid the toll to be on "THE SUBWAY" the ALL MUSIC segment where we play all the music that has been deemed ILL (dope music) on the show. A higher education is a very expensive and RISKY investment. When you think about the number of college graduates who cant find employment IN THE FIELD IN WHICH THEY ARE TRAINED it almost makes you reconsider going to college. I have hear over and over that its not about what you know, but WHO you know in any field. So why not just get to know people in social settings, and skip the rest of it? Why not just wing it, unless you are in a field where that cause kill someone, like being a DOCTOR. The point is, a lot of college degrees are not worth the paper they are printed on. Some may say you need to get a degree in something that is hot like COMPUTER SCIENCE ..but what if you are not GOOD AT THAT! What if you ARE good at ART or SPORTS or HELPING PEOPLE? Should everyone get a degree in the same thing just because that is the field that is "hiring"? That makes no damn sense. But your FUTURE income is at stake here people. So I have a few questions class: 1) Do you think having a college degree is over rated? 2

Once again we do one of the things that is the CORE mission of K-100 INTERNET RADIO: BREAK NEW MUSIC! Yes the INTERNATIONAL music review/feedback segment of the show "ILL or KILL" is back for it's 7th installment. This segment is gaining MASSIVE popularity and is catching on REALLY QUICK! So basically the people at BLOG TALK RADIO pretty much killed the last Episode of K-100 Radio with MAJOR technical issues. They even had to give me a month of FREE premium airtime it was so bad. Now that the problem is FIXED I must now RE-BROADCAST the last scheduled Episode since I owe a few artist some spins. I take my commitment to helping other INDIE artist get some exposure serious, thus I am going to RE-DO this Episode 31 and the original will be subsequently deleted from the Database. Sorry for the inconvenience but it wasn't on me, I am at the mercy of technology! So Here we are again...just sit back and ride out on THE SUBWAY K-100 style and enjoy some good INDIE MUSIC! 

We all probably have fallen out with someone in our life time. When you think about it, we often have enemies that USED to be our friend. I know that most times when you are young you have so called "beef" with people that you really don't know. Some thing was said or done and you just don't like that person ya dig. But as we get older, most of the time our circle gets smaller because along the line we may fall out with a friend (or associate ) or two ya dig. But what causes someone to really become ENEMIES when they once were FRIENDS? I mean it has to be something EXTREME right? Well sadly that is NOT always the case. The thing about it is, I see more people who have fallen out nowadays, then I see people who have been life long friends. I don't know if its the pressures of todays world, the change in the way we communicate, which is FAR more often due to cell phones and the internet. We all have a few people in life that we may refer to as being "sometimesy". I can admit to being "moody", but sometimes we encounter people that do a COMPLETE 180 in their personality. It's like one minute they cool and the next they can be complete monsters. Now I know that Bi-polar disease is a REAL LIFE MEDICAL ISSUE, and some people need REAL PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT for it. I think that in the black community, we have more undiagnosed mentally ill people then any other race in this country. But sometimes I think people are just so extremely "MOODY" that they SEEM to need professional help..but in reality, they just some dumb asses ya dig. If DRUGS is what seems to trigger the alter ego of a person, then to me, they are not Bi-Polar..they just cant handle they liquor! If you are a female with a man who only seems to snap on you when you aren't catering to him, then he isn't Bi-polar, he just a selfish ass dude! Yep the more and more I'm out at these open mic's, venues and more...the more music I get from hungry artist. The music game is tough...I see so many artist with good music, and some with WACK ASS MUSIC (in my OPINION) So...once again I'm back to help my fellow Indie Artist. So lately I have been going hard with promoting my music and radio show all over. Yes it is the PROMOTION and MARKETING of most products that make them PROFITABLE more so then the PRODUCT itself (I mean the SNUGGIE people are rich for crying out loud..a blanket with sleeves??) In this digital age, the music industry is TRANSFORMING RAPIDLY right now. Some say that the era of the CD is pretty much over...although I don't really agree YET..I know its not too far in the future from being true. But the way music is PROMOTED has changed DRASTICALLY even in the 12 years that I have been doing music myself. ONLINE promo used to mean you wasn't really a "STREET" rapper ..cause you audience didn't even go online. NOW even the most "GANGSTA" (even fake ones) absolutely HAVE to promote online or kill their career. Yes people STILL like to see posters on the street corners, flyers on their windshield AND YOUR LIVE PERFORMANCE. But you HAVE to have an ONLINE presence now to even be CONSIDERED a serious artist. There are a lot of things that really make me upset, and in my top 10 is when someone that is in your bloodline does you dirty. The sad thing of it is, I know WAY too many people that have done this or had this done to them. My own family isn't even exempt in this sick cycle. Sometimes I can admit, you do have to in some ways turn your back on family, but if that is a move you must do IT BETTER BE FOR A DAMNED GOOD REASON! The black family is dissipating before our eyes. The standard wife/husband/kids all in the same house with no other bastard children is pretty much DEAD. Some say that BLOOD is THICKER THAN WATER..but that is simply a chemical observation of fluid, no more no less. I hate arguing with family members but sometimes you just have to for one reason or another I guess just like anyone else you will have disagreements. But arguing with family is one thing, but physically fighting, killing, sleeping with spouses, abusing, and all that is NOT the move and should be avoided at all cost. Then again s

Yeah so its the season of Halloween...lil bad ass kids go around begging for candy from strangers. Then if they are a lil older, cause some havoc by egging or TPing some old guys trees in they front yard. But this episode isn't about kids, its about grown ups that act like kids. See we have gotten to a point where in order for us to get what we want from each other as men and women, we have to play games. Much like kids we play These little games for sheer entertainment sometimes. It is what it is on that, but now instead of it being a game it has now become MANDATORY. So whats the limit...a few drinks...a few dates....a light bill...who knows. All I DO know is that in 2011 you have to TRICK for some TREATS. So its not a question of IF but WHAT tricks you are willing to perform in order to get those treats..and which TREATS should be expected for whatever TRICKS are pulled. Sound confusing does it? This is the second installment of K-100 RADIO'S new segment "THE SUBWAY". This is where all I do is just play music. K-100 Radio ONLY PLAYS MUSIC BY INDIE ARTIST, and the music that gets played on THE SUBWAY has already been deemed HOT. That is because it has passed the test of the listeners in the OTHER music segment of the show "ILL OR KILL" the music review segment in which songs are played on the air and THE LISTENERS decide if the song is "ILL" or should it be "KILLED". So for there is almost NO talking or little on THE SUBWAY and all you have to do is RIDE OUT TO THE MUSIC. These are PERFECT for the podcast listens because they are mostly 2hours of GREAT INDIE MUSIC you may not ever hear since FM radio is controlled by a bunch of rich assholes who could care less about what sounds good and more about what label has money riding on the artist. This is due the MASSIVE amount of music I am getting sent because of the FEEDBACK and INTERACTION from the OTHER "ILL OR KILL" episodes. I couldn't me more happy about this, simply because indie artist need as MUCH exposure as they can possibly get and being able to provide this platform is whats good about having this show.
