There is a movement going down that is being swept up under the medias proverbial carpet. This movement is growing larger by the day. This movement represents the best interest of about 99% of the countries population..hell the WORLDS population for that matter. It doesn't have a lot of funding. It doesn't have a whole bunch of super star supporters (although a few have shown face and endorsed it). This movement is the OCCUPY WALL STREET movement and I can think of a better one to support here on K-100 Radio. To keep it simple and plain this is a growing group of people who feel like the big banks and financial industry collapse of 2008 are major reasons that this countries economy is on a bad down slope. We can blame PLENTY of people for this from POLITICIANS, to VOTER APATHY, and CORPORATIONS and LOBBYIST, and more. The simple truth they preach: AMERICA IS NO LONGER A COUNTRY FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE...IT IS FOR THE CORPORATIONS AND RAN BY THEM! This can NOT be argued when you look at the de-regulation

So the recent outburst then subsequent apology from Diddy pertaining to his actions at a club in Atlanta over the BET AWARDS weekend made me realize something: FAMOUS PEOPLE CAN BE REAL ASSHOLES! I mean of course not all of them are, and to be fair the entertainment industry can make the nicest person become one. Its the backstabbing and shady deals that make you grow hardened skin and numbs your emotions. Still, that is no excuse for some of the behavior we see from famous people, and frankly some people in our everyday lives. To be transparent, I have been called an asshole on numerous occasions. Some may have been warranted, and some were simply people not understanding my position. Truthfully no one really likes an asshole, in fact being called or considered one is a negative, until being an asshole become profitable. Last week the state of Georgia committed murder and the whole world watched in awe. I wanted to do this show then but I had other commitments that didn't allow me to air at the height of the controversy. Then again since when does something like this "die down"? Already post about the Execution of TROY DAVIS have been replaced by the infamous "numbers" game on Facebook. People have already forgotten that a heinous act of injustice just happened last week, I shutter to think what goes through the minds of those that put such little importance on this issue. How could you not care, because it wasn't you or someone you know? Thats so laughable because it could have EASILY been one of us. The debate of whether or not Troy Davis should have been executed is a big enough issue, but to me the absence of our Presidents words about the issue is even more disturbing. In this country lets just be real: CONTROVERSY SELLS! That is indisputable since most of the shows people watch are centered around some sort of reality fake drama. When it comes to music we have more than enough controversy to go around in ALL genres. BUT just like socially black people have a far greater chance of dying violently then another group, our musicians and artist, especially in Hip Hop and now RnB have a great chance of having some sort of public beef. Don't get me wrong I know that there are beefs among other genres, Britany Spears has beefed with some of everyone, so has Limp Bizkit, Justin Beiber and more. The thing is when it comes to beef with BLACK musicians first it is always blasted all over media outlets, and second it has a greater chance of getting physical for real. In hip hop music beef is intertwined within the genre because 90% of the artist are from urban areas where violence is an everyday thing. FM Radio SUCKS!! Yeah I said it. Don't get me wrong, it's still the dominant format to get the public hooked on a song. It's still the standard that you have to be on to really be considered a "success" in the music biz. If you are not getting any FM radio play regularly, you cant really be considered a STAR can you? We will come back to that. The main thing is the large span of people that FM radio can get to. When you include SYNDICATED shows its pretty much all over the damn country. Some places don't have much of an urban market because there is no URBAN area nearby. THIS is a MAJOR limitation of FM radio..it only stretches as far as the signal goes. BUT I'm into Satellite and Internet Radio these days (of course) because of the VARIETY in music and NO COMMERCIALS. I wont profess to know what the meaning of life is because I'm no philosopher (well maybe in some ways I am) but I do know what its like to be PASSIONATE about something in life. As an artist, musician I can tell you that I TRULY love to create music. It was the first thing in my life  I would do for free and felt like i couldn't live without. I played a few sports, mainly football as a child, and it was fun, but I was no where as serious about it as I was once I started creating music. But today I was reminded, not that I really needed to be, that the odds of making big money in the music industry is slim to none. You see my PASSION is not necessarily PROFITABLE in 95% of most cases. Even if my passion was a sport like Football, I could give it my all, be very good, but still if I'm not in the right Division one College to be seen by major scouts, I still may never gain alot of money, profit from my talent. Yea...so I was gonna do this show a while back and it got scrapped because well..frankly I needed to boost numbers for the week so I had to talk about sex again. Hey..blame it on the masses. But today I saw a disturbing post online about a new video game coming out called "SLAVERY" and well it jogged my memory of this show. In short the game, which actually looks like a professionally developed game by the likes of ACTIVISION or someone of that stature, is a game about the slave trade. This is America, and we LOVE ourselves some celebrities! We have entire NETWORKS that are dedicated to knowing every move our famous people make. What they eat, when their next project is coming, what their kids are doing, did they go to jail, did they loose/gain weight and more. EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES!!  I've made some in my day but I heard WAY more than I have dished out. I heard once that there is only one way to love someone. I personally don't believe that because in my lifetime I have loved people in different ways. For instance the way you love a friend isn't the same way you love someone of the opposite sex you are involved with. Thus to think that love is simply black and white, that it is just simply you do or you don't and that it doesn't really makes sense. Last week I saw a FB group that read "you know you're from Panama City Fl if...." and I decided to of course check it out. As I read the post I did not remember ANY of the things that people were saying they did growing up, but that was my hometown. Then I noticed the people posting were from there, but they didnt grow up in the HOOD like I did. BIG DIFFERENCE! Happiness is what most people want in life. We live vicariously our days in pursuit of that perfect harmony where everyday seems like a holiday. We educate ourselves in order to earn more money and work hard to have it so we can feel a sense of security which is a requirement to be happy. We have put being happy over everything else in life, and this includes FAMILY. You see some say if your FAMILY is happy then that is enough. Others however say that INDIVIDUAL happiness is the most important thing. This is why people get divorced and we have so many children out of wedlock. Because when relationships break down, when decisions about being in a relationship with someone you have a child with, we opt for HAPPINESS, or FREEDOM over FAMILY. Back in the day this line of thinking was reversed. People stayed together for the sake of FAMILY. But now, PERSONAL FREEDOM AND HAPPINESS trumps all. Sounds selfish doesn't it? So since I have had to reduce my schedule in order to promote the new album, I have been submerged in the world of music. I haven't watched much news, politics, current events because of this grind. Well since I'm back from an extended break I might as well jump K-100 of with the most popular subject we have on the show outside of music: SEX! The ACT of sex has so many variables that can make it good or bad.
