I've just about had it with lame dudes and chics. I mean it's bad enough they even exist, but the thing is they don't understand that their lame ass actions cause a series of reactions. They do all kinds of things that make normal, cool people of the same or opposite sex go through unnecessary BS and drama. If a lame dude cakes up a chic just for her attention hoping it will ultimately lead to some form of sex, now that same chic thinks guys like me (one of the cool guys) should do the same thing. Of course I wont resort to such a ridiculous gesture, but had it not been for the lame dude making her think this was okay I wouldn't have to deal with it. Most people keep who they have sex with under the radar. Its because sex is one of the most private and intimate thins that two people can share (most times). But sometimes for whatever reason the word gets out about a sexual encounter, either on purpose or "accident". There are plenty of reasons to keep sexual encounters secret, but the number one reason would be if one or both of the parties involved are cheating. Another would be one, or both of the parties involved are embarrassed for some reason about the act going down. But most people don't kiss an tell. Not off the rip anyway. The company you keep can do one of two things (depending on several circumstances): it can either say a lot about you OR in can give people the worng idea about you. Funny how that works but let me break it down. You see, if you keep up company with just ONE type of person because you feel like you can only hang with "people thats like you" then well if all you hang around are ignorant thugs or stuck up suburbian types well then people will assume you are the same way. Of course, if you are a well rounded person and you hang with a multitude of different types, say people who are smart and conservative some times, or sometimes you hang with hoish party girls, well depending one the circumstances you may be viewd differently. Ever since some rapper somewhere came up with the term "HATER" the people we consider HATERS have been around. We just used other words to describe them like JEALOUS or something along those lines. We see them everywhere, hear them all the time because they tend to be loud. No one really likes them, but we are often forced to engage them because our livelihoods depend on it, or we may even be related to them. I want to say first off that I voted for our current President with a pride and sense of patriotism I never felt while voting before that day. I took my son, my brothers, I gave others a ride, I was geeked. I'm still very proud of the accomplishments that this man has achieved. I am not regretful of my vote one bit. Homelessness is a very serious condition in this country (even though it is WAY TOO SERIOUS given our "status" in the world!) Sometimes people end up homeless that never would have thought they would be in such a situation. I know most people have some family or friends that they can lean on a lil bit if times get hard. To think that I would have to go to a shelter right now, given the amount of friends and family I have sounds unthinkable to me. But everyone is not in my shoes. The worse thing about homeless people is they often get judged way too quick. There isn't a floating sign that follows them around with their life story so you can read it and know what led them on this path. Yes I know often times drugs are at play in the situation. When you get to be an adult you tend to forget the past. You often forget the wild nights in college, one night stands in your 20's. Sometimes people grow out of bad habits. I have a lot of friends, and I'm not talking ASSOCIATES I mean FRIENDS. Most of them are males BUT I have some FEMALE friends also. There is of course the PHYSICAL difference between these friends, and SUPPOSEDLY there is a MENTAL difference. Being a step parent or being raised by a step parent can be difficult either way. Often times the scenario plays out OK, but it takes a lot of work and it almost always start out bumpy. I had a step parent enter my life at the age of 11, a good man with good morals. But even thought HE was a good person, the enevitable clash came between us. Because as much as you do for someone elses child, they will never be your child. I also have had the shoe on the other foot, and was a "step parent" (although not married) I lived with my ex and her two children for years. But HAVING a step parent did not in any way PREPARE me for being one. The obstacle will be there, like the difference in outward appearance, the relationship the NATURAL parents have with the child and each other, and the WILLINGNESS of the child and step parent to accept each other. I don't have a problem with who I am. I call my self a black person about 99% of the time. Rarely do I describe myself as an African American unless I'm shading in a box or circle on some sort of form. I just never have been the one to describe myself that way. Of course I'm not literally black, I am the color brown if anything, but I have never been bothered by someone identifying me as a "black" person. The topic of this show is should that bother me and does it bother you. You see much like a majority of people of color, aka "black" people, I have ancestors from the contentent of Africa. So I had a vacation..a week off from the show to chill with the fam and just relax. In doing so I partied some, and in doing that I came to a realization: when it comes to the club or any party scene people have short memories! That means that for some reason, maybe it's the alcohol, maybe its the atmosphere teeming with sexual enuendo, but people seem to often forget their relationship status in these establishments and venues. So being a talk show host can sometimes make you numb to the opinion of others. Thats because as the host of a show in which I pick out the subject matter, I pretty much have an opinion already about everything I decide to bring up on the show. But then the more I thought about it, almost EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON EARTH is the same way. We see it all the time in politics, social issues like GAY MARRIAGE, in sports like who is the best this or that, even in sex like what FEELS GOOD.
