Being well traveled can change a persons outlook on life and the world. I am from a small city where most people in the same social circles, age ranges and race tend to know you either by face or know you personally. In the hood, you can actually be famous in a certain mile radius of your stomping ground. We call it "HOOD FAME", and it is sometimes as addictive as having national or world fame. This is because it makes people feel like their little part of the world, their hood, is the end all and they are the man/chic. But the world is bigger than those blocks you run. What made me see this clearer than anything else is LEAVING THOSE SAME BLOCKS AND GOING WHERE NO ONE KNEW MY NAME. Realistically this is NOT as easy as it sounds. Mainly because it takes MONEY to travel or move, and if your are from a low income family then the odds are you can't afford to make this step. BUT sometime you can have the MONEY, or even the opportunity, like going to school or taking a job, that will allow you to see farther then

So I was recently riding with some of my patnas in the whip and one thing we almost never can seem to agree on is what to bump in the car while we out cruising and partying. Now I have a wide variety of patnas. Some are businesmen, some are hustlaz, some work normal jobs, and some only exclusively do music. But the funny thing is, the BUSINESSMEN listen to the most gangsta music. Then some of the hustlaz really don't, listen to a lot of rap. This is totally backwards to me. Now I understand to SOME people music is just music but I've proven time again that music can tell you a lot about someones personality. We all have secrets. I don't car WHO you are WHERE you from HOW old you are or WHAT it was you have one. A secret can sometimes eat away at the person holding it like acid. So much that they can't hold on to it any longer and they inevitably let the secret go. When this happens the ramifications can be very bad, especially if you were entrusted by someone else with the secret. You see if the secret is about you, then if it gets out and YOU leaked it, it really isn't so bad. But if the secret you hold is NOT about you, then the leaking of it BY YOU is ten times as bad. We all have our reasons for keeping secrets. MOST of the time it is to conceal something that is embarrassing about ourselves, something we wish we NEVER did and want to forget. Self evaluation is very important. We all make mistakes, but the crazy thing about it is even thought we all do, getting some people to admit to it is sometimes nearly impossible. You would think that it would be easy to admit to even the most monumental mistakes we make because even if someone else didn't make the SAME mistake, they surely have made PLENTY if they live long enough. But before any act or mistake can be analyzed the person must FIRST look themselves in the mirror and do a self evaluation. I do this sometimes and that guy starring back at me is VERY COMPLICATED. I often think what do others see when they do the same thing. Do they see the person that the rest of the world sees, or do they see only what THEY want to see. I often look at my life and analyze my accomplishments and my mishaps. There are things about it that I would DEFINITELY change if I could but I can really say that I know what my purpose for being here is. I was born to make music. It is my strongest natural talent. You know I still chuckle a lil bit every time someone reminds me that I am in the media business. I mean every time I say "BLOG TALK RADIO" I seem to ignore exactly what the hell that means! I have actually talked about this on my FACEBOOK page before, and the conversation got over 100 comments. Since I'm a very social person, both in the real world and the digital, I interact with a lot of people, especially women.
