Alan Jackson: A Real Country Music Singer Who Keeps The Traditional Style Shining Bright
20/06/2012 Duración: 04minAs an artist Alan Jackson defies the norm as he cranks out hit after hit of traditional country music. There is a segment of Country Music fans that feel the older style traditional country music is lost. They feel that no one in the past decade plus has recorded anything comparable to the Nashville Sound that was so prevalent in the 1970s and 1980s. Their one stalwart friend in this mission is Alan Jackson. The amazing thing is that with all the diversity that Alan's recordings have he still manages to keep the traditional form of Country Music alive. For example his romantic ballad in "I'd Love You All Over Again", his up-tempo songs like "Chattahoochee" and "Mercury Blues", his patriotic song of "Where Were You When" and a religious album titled "Precious Memories." Dean Martin: Singer, Television Star, Movie Actor, Celebrity Role Model, and Charming
16/04/2012 Duración: 06minDean Martin is one of those rare stars that appealed to both men and women. Not only was he handsome but was considered cool and debonair. As an entertainer he never failed to keep his audience amused. He was successful in all mediums which is a rarity. Even Sinatra who was successful as a singer and movie star did not have a long running Television show on Thursday nights year after year as Dean did. An admirable trait that he had was that 'he was his own man.' That meant that he didn't kowtow to people including the mafia and Frank. Many great artists came out of Sun Records including Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee. Elvis of course had those swiveling hips and shaking legs and Jerry Lee had that unique R&B, rockabilly piano sound along with a jumping and rocking body that constantly was infusing rhythm into his songs. But beyond all the shaking they also had one important thing and that is that they made great records. Their songs were imbedded in the minds of teenagers and others because they were classics. Two of Jerry Lee's biggest hits were "Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On" and "Great Balls of Fire." He had a lot of tragedy in his life with the loss of a three year old son in a swimming pool accident
