Many believers treat our experience with God like I treated the saxophone. After being introduced to a loving Savior offering a one-way ticket to heaven, we become self-satisfied. We no longer worry about eternal punishment. When God calls us, we will be caught up in the rapture in the twinkling of an eye. However, our desire should be to pursue God as a musician pursues his music.  We must continue to know him, to build communion, and not to be lulled to sleep like the Corinthians or Eve (2 Corinthians 11:3). Wisdom frees us from the bondage of the world. God is the arbiter of concealing and revealing. Job says that wisdom is hidden from the eyes of every living thing.  But why is something so beneficial so hidden? Why would God conceal the very thing he desires us to possess? Is God holding back?
