    I only do one episode for Ironman Santa Rosa, this episode is with Anastasia McKay. She talks about the training going into the race. She mentions the difficulty in traveling from Kentucky to California. We talk about the road quality of the course along with how the aid stations on this course are not very favorable and some were unmanned. The first transition has a long run up a hill that many would want to be aware of prior registering. The hills through the course were quite fun, but some unforeseen conditions made the bike course interesting. Anastasia mentions the amazing volunteers at the second transition area. He does the work and isn’t scared to put in the time and effort required to do well on race day. Sidney is a father of four, loves to hunt, and has a loving wife (Lori). He talks about managing time and understands the many sacrifices that go into this sport. While some things aren’t the same for him on race day, the distance and race is. There are a lot of things to be learned from this episode and I really enjoyed hearing Sidney’s story.
