    01/04/2019 Duración: 59min

I continue this series with my friend and returning guest Shannon Florea. Shannon was able to not only have a great day, but also break the tape for the first time. Not only did she get a slot for the 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France, but her husband, Jonathan did too. We talk about the long run from swim out to transition in this episode and how the run course is actually hillier and has more elevation gain than the 56 miles on the bike. The volunteers here are said to be truly amazing! Thank you for coming back on the show Shannon. I look forward to following you at Nice!-Enjoy the show. 01/04/2019 Duración: 01h12min

250 - IRONMAN© 70.3 Puerto Rico – Matt Vella-I begin the 2019 series of the Puerto Rico 70.3 with my friend and returning guest Matt Vella. Matt is being coached by Rebekah Keat. Over the past year if you’ve been following Matt’s journey like I have, you’ll notice that the nutrition part of things never really worked. Because of this we discuss what he used this time in depth and what led him to go back to this nutrition plan. The experience he had in San Juan was amazing and he recommends this course. It’s great for travel, vacation, and racing. It’s flat and fast, but exposed. Thank you for coming back on the show Matt. It’s always a pleasure man.-Enjoy the show. 26/03/2019 Duración: 01h06min

This episode is filled with laughs, smiles, and tons of information on international travel. I talk with Kelsey who placed third at this event. We talk about some of the real life struggles as a professional triathlete and what it’s like to go far away from home for a race. It’s not always as glamorous as people think. She’s got some new sponsors, such as Suunto, which I’m really excited about and many more. Kelsey had some issues with her bike before the race and she talks about the amazing customer support that is there in Argentina. Being a split transition race we talk about some of the more complicated things too and what it’s like when change your diet the day prior to race day. • 241 - Husky Triathlon Festival - Gerard McDermott

    03/03/2019 Duración: 01h21min

I recently was able to talk with a great person from Australia about a non-branded 70.3 distance race. This race is the Husky Triathlon Ultimate Distance. This race was won by the infamous Craig Alexander and is a wonderful smaller race that has a unique venue. Beginning in the ocean, then a 3x30km bike ride, then solid run course of just over 700ft of gain, this makes for a great course. Gerard is a huge fan of the show and loved sharing his experience. He mentions how some equipment changes could have led to a better race but didn’t stop him from putting down a solid time. This was Gerard’s first time to get on the podium and talks about this moment in detail. 01/03/2019 Duración: 02h03min

Wow! So grateful for the chance to talk with my friend and amazing athlete Julian Summers again. Julian is just a bundle of sunshine that loves giving back to the sport, the community of athletes, and his friends. He was able to give back to his crew member Jess, in the previous episode while he was down in Florida that left her shaking with excitement, fear, and disbelief. In this episode I learn the value of the phrase, “I am Strong” because of Julian I am inspired to do much more than I thought possible. I hope you learn something from this episode that leaves you wondering if you can do more. -Enjoy the show. This episode is one of two episodes now that I have broken up into parts. Meaning, I talked with Chris before, during, and after his race. You’ll get a glimpse of what it’s like before the race, during the race, and right after. Those damn invisible ninjas cut plenty of onions during this episode. It’s real, raw, emotions. Last year Chris was unable to finish this race, but now he comes back for redemption. We talk about all the struggles of the mental, physical and emotional setbacks, hurdles, and wins he was able to push through. Enjoy this episode.-Enjoy the show. • 233 - Follow Along - Dell Finney

    20/02/2019 Duración: 34min

This episode is with my dear friend from Michigan Dell Finney. Dell is a normal person that has the same struggles that we all have in training. But the meaning of the endurance races he participates in is quite significant. We talk about his training and outlook for the year in this episode. While it was unintentional, we both get emotional during this episode when we relive some of the past races he’s done and what it meant to accomplish them. The best part of this episode is how humble and real Dell is. I admire him for his courage to be so open and authentic with everyone he encounters, this means a lot to me. I look forward to following you along this season Dell.-Enjoy the show.
