Sinopsis
Getting into Scripture daily is tough! I recently felt convicted about how low on my priority list spending time with God had become. I made it a priority and through this regular reading, I wanted an outlet to share my thoughts on what I have read. So, for what it's worth, these are my thoughts on Bible verses that I have recently read and had an impact on me.https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com/

(069) It's Not Too Late!
29/05/2018 Duración: 05minIs it too late for you, for your marriage, for your children, to mend that relationship, to chase that dream? John 11:17 "On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days." Lazarus was already dead, it would have been too late for everyone but God! It is never too late with God. #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #scripture #podcast #christianpodcast #makegodapriorityagain #podcastlife #marriage #divorce #sin https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast/ https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/

(068) Better Protection than Spiderman
28/05/2018 Duración: 05minFeeling Safe... Spiderman got your back! We all understand that need, that desire, to be saved... to be protected. One of the things Jesus says in Chapter 10... “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep." (John 10:14-15) As believers, we can take comfort in knowing that Jesus has our back (way better than Spiderman). As the shepherd, He leads and guides but also PROTECTS! May we take comfort in knowing our shepherd. What a treat it was to hear from Patrick Mathers and Bryan Gumpy, you can learn more about them and their ministry at https://www.sovereignjoycf.org/ I also Highly recommend listening in on their podcast "Belonging Before Believing" Android: http://bit.ly/BBBandroid iPhone: http://bit.ly/BBBapplepodcast

(067) Why Did This Happen To Me?
27/05/2018 Duración: 04minHave you gone through or are you going through a tough trial? Why would God allow you to go through such a trial? Is He upset with you or is it something else, what have you done to deserve this? These questions can go through your mind during the toughest times in your life. I explain why this is the wrong way to look at it, listen in on this 4-minute episode. John 9:1-3 "As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him." #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #scripture #podcast #christianpodcast #makegodapriorityagain #podcastlife #whatdidIdo #isgodmadatme #sin https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast/ https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/

(066) Read for Relationship
26/05/2018 Duración: 02minThis episode is under 3 minutes! One of my shortest ones yet, straight and to the point. May we spend time in His word to draw closer to Him, not to grow our Bible knowledge. John 8:21-24 "Once more Jesus said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come.” This made the Jews ask, “Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, ‘Where I go, you cannot come’?” But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.” #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #scripture #podcast #christianpodcast #makegodapriorityagain #podcastlife #buildthatrelationship #notjustfortheknowledge #godswill https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast/ https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/

(065) What is God's Will for My Life?
25/05/2018 Duración: 06minHow did you end up where you are now? How have all your small/big decisions throughout your life that has ended up to your current position? Have you ever been stuck in your life and have not known what we should be doing next? What is God's will for your life? Listen in on my thoughts on this subject through this 6-minute episode. John 7:33-36 "Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me. You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come.” The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we cannot find him? Will he go where our people live scattered among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks? What did he mean when he said, ‘You will look for me, but you will not find me,’ and ‘Where I am, you cannot come’?” #Good #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #scripture #podcast #christianpodcast #makegodapriorityagain #decisiontime #godswill https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com

(064) God is Good
24/05/2018 Duración: 04minWhat is good? Would you consider yourself a good person? Most would, but good is relative. Good according to whom? Why do people hate Jesus? John 7:7 "The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil." Listen in on this 4 minute episode! We are imperfect, we are in need of forgiveness, we as believers are no better than anyone else. We have sinned like everyone else, we are just forgiven, may we be more graceful with those around us and may we share our faith with love. #Good #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #scripture #podcast #christianpodcast #makegodapriorityagain #podcastlife #love https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast/ https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/

(063) May the Goal be Truth
23/05/2018 Duración: 05minDo you go to scripture to understand what it says or do you go to it to find scripture to back what you have already concluded? There is a big difference! May we let God speak through His word and not make God support your opinion. John 6:66-69 '"From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”' Let's live for and pursue the truth! May I be open and willing change how I think and perceive things when I encounter truth that challenges my current beliefs. #truth #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #scripture #podcast #christianpodcast #makegodapriorityagain #podcastlife #changemymind https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast/ https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/

22/05/2018 Duración: 04minModern Day Treasure Hunt! Geocaching! John 5:39-40 "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life."In this 4 minute podcast I go over the similarities I see with the Pharisees and the dangers we can have of falling in the same trap they did. (061) No Worries
21/05/2018 Duración: 04minI talk about my kids going for swim lessons again! My kids must not have trust me, they will not even get in the pool! We have a great example of someone having faith in Jesus. So much so Let's make God a priority again! John 4:50 “Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.”The man took Jesus at his word and departed. Matthew 6:25-27 "“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" If we fully trust in God, we have nothing to worry about #noworries #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #scripture #podcast #christianpodcast #makegodapriorityagain #worryfreelife https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com

(060) The Unlikely Example
20/05/2018 Duración: 04minWow! what an example the Samaritan women is for us. She encountered Jesus, was changed, then told everyone. Fear did not stop her from changing her community. John 4:39-42 "Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. And because of his words many more became believers. They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”" Is fear holding you back? A real encounter will change you. (059) Stay Hungry
19/05/2018 Duración: 05minEating is obviously crucial in our survival. You do not need to eat what is good for you though, you can eat junk and survive. To thrive in life, we out to eat the right things. Jesus speaks about what fuels Him and it is not food, doing the will of His Father is what ultimately fuels Him, which begs the question... What fuels you? John 4:31-34 "Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.” But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?” “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work." Let us not forget the never ending supply that we have in God for what we need to thrive in life. May we not walk around parched... but filled. #Hungry #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #scripture #podcast #christianpodcast https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast/ Instagram @dailychristianpodcast

(058) So Thirsty
18/05/2018 Duración: 05minI talk about an extreme hiking trip that I took with Mike Tison (not the boxer) through his ministry. See what Mike is doing now here: http://missionamped.com/ It was through that trip that I realized the necessity of water! Our body was made to drink water on a regular basis. We take for granted the water supply and availability to us in our 1st world country. I talk about how Jesus tells this women at the well that He could supply her with water that would never end. We know that Jesus is referring to eternal life that He gave us. Like water is a necessity of life, so is our relationship God. John 4:13-15 "Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”"

(057) Where does it point?
17/05/2018 Duración: 03min"Where does it point?" John the baptist had his ministry taken away! Jesus came and people stopped following John and started following Jesus. Instead of being discouraged, John was glad because it was always his goal that his life would point to Jesus! I think we can all learn a little from John, may our goal in life be ideal that our life elevates Jesus and not ourselves. John 3:27-30 "To this John replied, “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him.’ The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. He must become greater; I must become less.” #Wheredoesitpoint #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #lifepurpose #motivation #podcast #christianpodcast https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com

(056) Night Lights
16/05/2018 Duración: 04min"Night Lights" Why is it so scary when you are in pitch darkness? Partly because of what could be hiding in the darkness. Jesus speaks about Light revealing what is in the darkness. John 3:19-21 "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God." Let us all pursue to live a life with nothing to hide! Let's all make God a priority again, take some time today and get into His word. #Truth #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #light #nothingtohide #Freedom #motivation #podcast #christianpodcast https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast/ https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/

(055) Stay Curious
15/05/2018 Duración: 06min"Stay Curious" My younger children are naturally curious, sometimes annoyingly so. However, I think we can learn from children, In chapter 3 of John we hear from Nicodemus. He was a religious leader at the time and he is having a conversation with Jesus. John 3:1-9 It stood out to me that an expert in the Bible and is leadership in the church to live a life pursuing more about God, keep asking questions, stay curious. (054) How Dare You?!?!
14/05/2018 Duración: 04minThose are not the words I want to hear from God, that's for sure! These were the words used when Jesus turned over the money changers tables and ran out their cattle and livestock. I discuss the issue of motive again in this 4 minute episode. John 2:13-17 "When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.” #Truth #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #words #howdareyou #bigtrouble #motivation https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast/

(053) God Hears You
13/05/2018 Duración: 02minThe universe is so big! We can seem so insignificant in light of the physical size we are in comparison to what is out there. There are times when I wonder if God is even listening to my prayers. My little life here seems to really not matter when thinking about the overwhelming size of the universe. John 1:47-51 (NIV) "When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.” Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.” Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”" I believe, like Nathanael, God knows us and hears us!

(052) It Doesn't Matter Where You Come From
12/05/2018 Duración: 06minJesus had humble beginnings, from a barn to a growing up in a town where nearly nothing good had come from. Our situation and circumstances does not disqualify you from God using you. If you have the heart and the courage to be willing to have him use you, He will. (051) Pray like Elijah
11/05/2018 Duración: 06minMaybe it's just me or because I am a guy, I just am not much of a talker. I would much rather do something than talk about things, prayer is difficult for me to make a regular part of my day. James 5:17-20 "Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins." (050) Empty Words
10/05/2018 Duración: 04minParenting is tough, when my kids are not listening, it is natural to threaten them with some crazy consequences. However, if we are not going to go through with what we say, they have no meaning. Our words become empty with less power and weight. James 5:12 "Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned." When you say something, be sure to follow through with it.
