  • Episode 65: Coaching on Triggers and Transphobia

    02/08/2017 Duración: 33min

The current political climate has most people on edge and ready to pounce. The Trump Era has proven a difficult path to manage when it feels like a new triggering issue comes out every. single. day. What you resist persists...but what happens when you are resisting for the "right" reasons? When you are standing up for what is right and not allowing the bullshit to continue? Whether you are marching for women or standing up against the ban on Muslims, that resistance is steeped in power, not denial.

  • Episode 64: Coaching on Progress Not Perfection

    26/07/2017 Duración: 36min

Today we taking on Progress Not Perfection! This is one of my favorite "Jayism's" and a mantra I use on a daily basis. Our conversation is specifically around the local county fair and my family's involvement through the years. Thank you for listening. We are so honored to have you with us each week.

She is real and she is one of the funniest women I have ever met. The Drunk Mom is a Facebook page that is filled with videos and hilarious posts created by Amy. • Episode 62: Coaching on Grief

    12/07/2017 Duración: 31min

Today we are talking the topic of Grief. Jay recently lost his brother and we both felt like it was important to address the grieving process in the "work." Because trust us...you can be a spiritually evolved human but when grief hits it doesn't really matter. You just have to walk through it. Jay has been walking through it and it is important to acknowledge that journey. It is also important to recognize that grief comes from many different things and can affect us in so many ways. Even years and years later...and you will see with my big AHHHAHHAHAHAAA! moment.  This week we invite you to join us on the Doing the Work Facebook page to talk grief. • Episode 60: Coaching Becca on Getting Back on the Horse

    28/06/2017 Duración: 41min

It has been awhile since we have done a coaching call strictly between Jay and I. When we first started the podcast we thought the "real" coaching sessions would make up most of our episodes but over time the topics and interviews with power players have really taken over. So we discussed it and decided it was time to go back to our roots and get some of our actual coaching sessions recorded. And when you listen to today's episode...you will see why. So...I fell off the horse folks. I stumbled big time and my integrity went out the door. I have been rolling around in the ugly for several weeks and I needed help to get myself back on track. And that is OK! It is normal! I refuse to beat myself up for having a fall. I reached out for help and THAT is the most important part. I knew I couldn't do it on my own. And another reason to acknowledge that this work is never done and having a coach or accountability partner is so vital to keeping focused.  I get pretty real and raw here...which of course is giving me a

I am originally from Michigan, and moved to New York City upon graduating from High School to pursue a modeling career. For over ten years I worked and lived internationally and in many cities in the states. I eventually turned

    14/06/2017 Duración: 34min

Part 2 of 2--Today we are continuing our coaching call with Hannah King! This has SO many great moments that I can't even begin to pull them out. If you haven't listened to Part 1 you will want to do that HERE first! Hannah approached us about coaching around her relationship with her partner and specifically around sex. This is a topic so many of us struggle with and we hear from our listeners that they are dealing with major issues with their partners. When you want a rich and juicy life you need to have relationships that are rich and juicy. So how do you get there? Thank you Hannah for your bravery and honesty! We are amazed by your willingness to share. A production note...we apologize for the strange sounds on this episode...some banging and weird sort of echo sound that occurs frequently. We try to edit out as much background weirdness as possible but unfortunately the sounds on today's episode could not be edited out without messing with the interview and losing a lot of the verbiage. I was close to p

Part 2 of 2--Today have the conclusion of Sahara's coaching call on vulnerability. Last week we hit on the "ah ha" moment of her own place in pushing people away and the story of being an angry person. This week we focus on the baby steps out of that place and the end goals of where she is headed.   Sahara's honesty and willingness to get ready was truly awe inspiring. • Episode 54: Part 2 of Coaching with Madeleine on Weight Loss and Body Image

    17/05/2017 Duración: 18min

Part 2 of 2--Today we are incredibly honored to continue the coaching call with Madeleine Bock. Her bravery and willingness to face her needs head on and in such a honest way. Madeleine came to us to be coached on weight and body image. This is a topic that hits very close to home for me, as it was the first thing I focused on when I began working with Jay. After years of fighting my weight, he was the first to ask me to forgive myself...and it changed everything. Body issues affect so many of us. I am so amazed by Madeleine and I know each of you will be as well. As with most of our coaching episodes we have spit this into two parts (check out the first part HERE if you haven't listened yet.) During this episode we review the next steps and most importantly land on a very special mantra/affirmation! We apologize that this episode is a lot shorter than normal. We had some technical difficulties with the phone lines during this coaching call and more had to be cut out than I had originally thought. You don't m

Jay has had some of his own "ah ha" moments around the Law of Attraction and he shares them with us. This is an eye opener for sure. This is IT!!  This week we invite you to join us on the Doing the Work Facebook page to let us know what you think about this new way of getting in alignment and the process of "chemicalisation".   If you are currently struggling to achieve a goal, manifest your dreams, or just get over the hump in an area of transformation--we are here to help! • Episode 49: Coaching on Agreement

    12/04/2017 Duración: 29min

When you are really pissed off, hurting, or just feel like throwing yourself a pity party...who do you turn to? Probably someone who makes you "feel better," right? Someone who will agree with you that your boss is a jerk, your husband is worthless or you totally were 100% right in that fight with your sister. And it usually feels pretty good at the time.  But are you transforming your situation? Nope. Just like Nina Negativa is not the person to turn to when you need a shoulder to lean on, Amy Agreement is not so great either! It is why finding your "tribe" is so important in this work. You need people in your life that will hold you Accountable not Agree with everything you say.    Who are your "agreement" buddies? Who are those who help you stay in the weeds? Are you ready to find more people who are doing this work? Join us in the private Facebook group, Doing the Work with Jay and Becca where are ready and willing to hold you accountable! If you are currently struggling to achieve a goal, manifest your d

  • Episode 47: Coaching on the Continued Conversation of Unworthiness

    29/03/2017 Duración: 25min

Last week's episode was pretty epic...and we just couldn't leave it without following back around. After we recorded Jay contacted me and asked to come back to the conversation and get complete with his emotions that bubbled up while we were recording. Through the last few episodes we have talked about a recent breakthrough Jay has had around self promotion and the unworthiness topic was a big trigger. I think it is so important to recognize that emotional responses are NOT a bad thing and often we have to walk through those emotions and release them before we are able to really move forward.  We recognize that unworthiness is such a huge part of the blocks we all face in this work. We are dedicated to continuing the conversation and staying in it and REAL with you.  We invite you to get in the inquiry around unworthiness. How is it showing up in your life? What can you do to shake it off? And join us in the private Facebook group, Doing the Work with Jay and Becca where we will be continuing the conversation

  • Episode 46: Coaching on Unworthiness

    22/03/2017 Duración: 38min

This is a powerful episode. Whew. Get ready!  Unworthiness is such a giant topic. We have so many things that end up in the unworthiness pile that it is next to impossible to cover all of the things in just one episode. So we aren't going to try! This is part one of...many. This week we start the conversation and have the privilege of being a part of an emotional moment with Jay. Unpacking this topic can bring up so many feelings and we hit on it with Jay this week. And wow. Just wow. Incredibly powerful. Incredibly vulnerable. We are all so blessed to have Jay in this work with us! We invite you to get in the inquiry around unworthiness. How is it showing up in your life? What can you do to shake it off? And join us in the private Facebook group, Doing the Work with Jay and Becca where we will be continuing the conversation.  If you are currently struggling to achieve a goal, manifest your dreams, or just get over the hump in an area of transformation--we are here to help! • Episode 45-Creating Your Perfect Week

    15/03/2017 Duración: 28min

Today's we are talking about another valuable tool in transforming your life and the Law of Attraction--creating your "perfect" week. Now we all know that we strive for progress NOT perfection but this is a little different. This is that dreamy perfect. The "if I could set up my life exactly the way I want it to look...this is what my week would consist of."  And the beautiful thing about this tool is that it is completely different for every person. We all have things that are important to us, that fill our soul. By developing your perfect week you are looking for opportunities to build in self care (or "me time" or "white space"). Once you have created the "perfect" picture you can put in baby steps to get yourself there. It is like a road map...you have to know where you are going in order to figure out the directions! As always, we invite you to join us in our private Facebook group, Doing the Work with Jay and Becca and share your perfect week with us. What are you putting yourself on the hook for? What

  • Episode 44-The Hook List

    08/03/2017 Duración: 28min

Today's episode is focused on one of Jay's tools, the Hook List. The Hook List is Jay's weekly or bi-weekly "goal" sheet for items that his coaching clients have agreed to complete before they see him next. Basically the things that you are "on the hook for" in terms of transformation.  This list is a great way for folks who are doing this work without the help of a life coach to keep themselves in check. Add an accountability partner and boom! You are making stuff happen! So what is included in a Hook List?  Watch your thoughts and words. Create a mantra that you can believe. Develop baby step actions to take toward making your mantra true. Surround yourself with success. Self-care. Self-care. Self-care. Do NOT engage in negative self talk.   We invite you to join us in our private Facebook group, Doing the Work with Jay and Becca and share your hook list each week. What are you putting yourself on the hook for? How can we help keep you accountable? We are here. We see you. If you are currently struggling
