Rev. Ava, museum curator, minister, feminist teacher and leader of Goddess community publicly unveils The Museum of Woman opening its doors in Irvine, CA, located in Southern CA, specifically Orange County.  Rev. Ava will share with listeners the purpose of the museum, who is its target visitor/audience, what happens there and about the feminist aspect of the museum.  Here's a HINT:  Ava believes men cannot lead well alone and she says the state of the world currently proves this.  According to Ava, the world will be a better place when women and men work together to transform the current values of the dominator model of our world into something a whole lot better...like maybe a partnership society?  No doubt you'll want to visit the next time you find yourself behind the Orange Curtain of Irvine, CA

SPECIAL BROADCAST....Tonight it is my pleasure to interview Karin Larsson, ordained priest in The Church of Sweden, a Lutheran-Evangelical Christian Church that recognizes Apostolic Succession  and which appointed a woman to it's highest office.  We'll be discussing if Feminism and Christian Philsophy are compatible.  We'll delve into how the Church of Sweden might be different than what most listeners might define as Christianity, what it's like to be an ordained priest in the Church of Sweden and tending to a congregation officiating church services.  I'll ask Karin about the role women's movements within the Church were a factor in increasing equality within the church, if feminism is an important part of theology and the similarities between feminism and Jesus' teachings.  (Rev. Wendilyn Emrys will be with us tonight for a two-part special, starting with what we call Athena, The Goddess You Think You Know followed by a related segment we're calling Drinking From a Poisoned Well.  In the first segment on Athena, we'll look at all the misinformation out there about Athena and look for Her more authentic essence in the Paleolithic, Neolithic, Minoan, Mycenaen, Green, Roman, Medieval - as well as the Enlightenment, Industrial and Modern Athena.  Sounds like fun, huh?  This leads directly to the second segment ..... Drinking From the Poisoned Well, meaning how our misinformed interpretations continue to affect our culture today - because we know mythology shapes society.   We'll discuss how to evaluate our sources, weigh them carefully for veracity and make decisions about how to move forward reinterpreting and reawaking our earliest sacred stories of the Sacred Feminine - so vital to shifting the paradigm toward evolution!

Returning to the show is Roberta Cantow, film and documentary maker, discussing the next phase for her trilogy on Women's Mysteries, titled Bloodtime, Moontime, Dreamtime and the added segment, Birthing the Crone: Aging Into Full Creativity w/artist, Helen Redman.    Bloodtime,Moontime, Dreamting will be participating in the Culture Unplugged Film Festival this year with their socio-spiritual mission.  We'll talk about how the trilogy came to be, the style of the work and the elements that tie it all together and what it takes for a film maker to get work in this genre into the public arena. My second guest tonight is Leigha LaFleur, grassroots organizer and leader of Bernie PDX reporting back and spilling the beans about what it was like being a delegate for Bernie at the DNC last week.  We've all heard the rumors, now hear her first-hand perspective from being there in the thick of things.  Separate truth from the fiction of social media and main street media.

Tonight we are very lucky to have Heide Goettner Abendroth calling in from Europe to discuss Matriarchal Socieites - a subject very much misunderstood and in some cases maligned.  We'll delve into what matriarchal societies actually are as we describe this form of society.  Heide will explain why matriarchy greatly differs from patriarchy going beyond gender.  You'll learn about matriarchal societies today and what's new with modern Matriarchal Studies.  We'll examine if its possible to implement some of the best ideas of matriarchal societies to make the world a better place. 

Lauren Lipton, freelance journalist received notice in 2015 for publicly criticizing Huffington Post founder Aranna Huffington for predatory practices toward bloggers and freelance writers.  We'll discuss the state of television journalism and practices among the media that have journalists struggling to make a make a living wage.  We'll delve into why this is so dangerous and why we should be concerned as citizens about the lack of journalistic integrigy that usually benefits the corporate owned media and the 1% as they dumb down so much of the 99%. 

Join me tonight as I chat with Jez Hughes, founder of Second Sight Healing, and British Shaman, discussing THE SHAMANIC PATH; Healing the Earth, Our Ancestors and Ourselves.  Jez has been working as a full time shaman for over a decade and runs workshops across the U.K. and Europe.  His work has been featured on BBC Radio and in other international media. Special Event:  Food for Thought Series "Spiritual Morality of Caring Economics vs Separation of Church and State" Tune in tonight while I fill you in on some food for thought that was a result of a presentation I made recently as part of a Riane Eisler Center for Partnership Studies class on Caring Economics I've been enrolled in.  The subject came up that feminists have often divorced their social justice work from religion or spirituality.  Myself, I believe in using critical thinking to reconcile one's spirituality and politics. Some think the two do not have to be in sync and when one does bring religion into lawmaking and policy, then we perhaps are on a slippery slope toward violating the sanctity of the separation of church and state protections provided by the Constitution.  Listen in and you decide.

Rev. Trisha Iolana discusses with us her research into the significance of Junian and post-Jungian theory to the development of the Western Goddess Movement in our show tonight titled, Jung and Goddess in the 21st Century.  We'll examine the major contributors to the feminist revision of Jung, if Goddess is purely immanent (found within) as a psychological archetype, what impact Jung had on Western contemporary religions outside Goddess Traditions and what Quantum Physics have to do with Jung and Goddess.  That's not all, because Trisha will also delve into "Goddess Consciousness" and the importance of interfaith and intrafaith dialogues.  

Special Show Tonight...Food for Thought: Series "How the Lack of Journalistic Integrity is Domination" Recently I've been enrolled in classes sponsored by Riane Eisler's Center for Partnership Studies and we've been learning about domination vs partnership structures of society.   We learn that there are ways to be in partnership with your self, your intimate others, your community, the world and within a spirituality.  I connect the dots between partnership as a value within Goddess spirituality.   Likewise, we learn to recognize domination, exploitation, oppression; all hallmarks of patriarchy and today's predator capitalism.  Tonight the domination I'd like to crack open and examine involves the corporate-owned media and the damage it's doing to our society. Maybe you've been watching how the ratings and money driven media has been dominating the conversation, interfering with democracy, controlling the minds of the masses.  Here is a presentation I made as part of my class on the Power of Partnership,

Yes, awakening we are!  The Sleeping Giantess, the collective conscious of humanity, is standing and we can hear Her Sacred Roar to protect Mother Earth, the people and the species on the planet! From the global protests against the TPP trade deal, to the fights to label GMOs in our food, to considering veganism a new mythology or spirituality for the 21st century, to choosing Democratic Socialism over establishment politics, all with a special emphasis on how this affects women. At the top of the hour Deborah Cox discusses "Wife Material - Misbehavior to Freedom", a novel based on her own childnood in the Church of Christ.  We'll discuss the lives of women, how feminity was approached or achnowledged within the Church, how patriarchy affected women's lives and how the doctrine affected her personally.  Deborah will talk about "acts of disobedience" as those of personal developoment for women struggling under the yoke of patriarchy and she'll give us an inside look at what it's like to be a woman who escaped the sect of the Church of Christ through refusal to obey and conform.  Deborah is a psychologist, writer and artist who treats trauma survivors, particularly those who have experienced religious abuse. We'll be sure to discuss how fundamental religion creates this idealized form of women that excludes sex while getting girls dressed and made up like beauty pageant contestants, putting pressure on girls to be "good and worthy" without ever asking what they really want.  Obviously t
