According to Scripture, the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other so that you do not do what you want. (Galatians 5:17). Like oil and water, the flesh and the Spirit cannot mix. They are in opposition to each other, and this can be seen in how we humans often crave things contrary to God's will in our lives. Remember, the mind can be regarded as a battlefield where so many thoughts and ideas strive to win the battle. Whomever you eventually yield yourself to will be in control of your mind. If your mind can be controlled, then it is certain that your life can be controlled. The devil is much more interested in gaining control over our mind

But, he pushed through and ultimately accomplished his mission with prayer. Christ's experience teaches us that brighter days are coming. No matter how bad things seem, we must never give up. Romans 8:18 When something is wrong in our lives, it's natural to want to complain about it. We want to share our misery with someone and have them commiserate with us and forget that every stage of life has a purpose. But does complaining actually make us feel any better? According to a study published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, the answer is no. On the contrary, complaining only makes people more miserable. The study participants were asked to keep a journal for two weeks. Then, every day, they were asked to write about either a positive or negative event that had happened that day. The people who wrote about negative events felt worse than those who wrote about positive ones. Interestingly, the people who wrote about more negative events also complained more than those who wrote about fewer negative events. Psalm 78:32 says, "Despite all this, they continued sinning;

"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5 There is no stage of life where God is not present and working. He is with us in the good times and the tough times. We may not always be aware of Him, but He is always with us. Even when we are born, God is there, working in our lives. He has a purpose for each of us, and we can find His passion for our lives by looking at the stages of life. As we go through different phases, we can see how God works in our lives and what His plan is for us. We can trust that God will be with us every step, guiding us and supporting us as we journey through life. He is with us in the good times and the tough times. No matter our stage in life, we can always find purpose in it through Him. In the early years, we learn and grow in the knowledge of God. We begin to develop our character and learn how to interact with the world around us. We are constantly learning and growing durin

Romans 8:28 It is hard to see the purpose when you are going through a tough time. You may be asking yourself, "Why is this happening to me?" or "What did I do to deserve this?" It is often difficult to find God's motive for the current level of our life. But remember, every stage of life has a purpose. The Bible says that we can trust God's plan, even when we don't understand it (Romans 8:28). He knows what He is doing, even when we don't. So instead of focusing on our troubles, let's focus on God. This may be a scary thought, while others may see it as an opportunity for a fresh start. But, no matter how you feel about it, one thing is for sure: once your time on earth is up, you will no longer have the option of choosing what you want to do with life. After death, you will be living in one of two places – either in Heaven or in Hell. Of course, some people might say that this isn't really a choice and that our lives are predetermined by fate. But even if that's the case, it doesn't change that we still have the opportunity to choose what we want to do with our lives. We can choose to follow our destiny, or we can choose to go against it. It's up to each person to decide what they want to do with their lives. As the proverb always says that "you can force a horse to the river, but you can't force it to drink

"Know that the Lord, he is God! He made us, and we are his; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture." Psalm 100:3 Making tough choices can be scary, but remember that you are not alone. There are people who will support you, and there are resources available. The Bible says, "without counsel, plans fail" (Proverbs 15:22). This means that it's important to seek wise counsel when making decisions. A prayer is also a powerful tool when it comes to making tough choices. God can give you clarity and direction when you pray for guidance. Seek input from your prayer partner or counselor. Remember, you are not alone in this journey! Making choices is a part of life. We all have to make them, and sometimes they're not easy. But when we make the wrong choice, it can be costly. That's what happened to the prodigal son in the Bible. He asked his father for his inheritance early, and his father obliged. But the son's plan failed miserably. He wound up losing everything, which led him to become homeless and a beggar

"For this commandment is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way to life." Proverbs 6:23 Making tough choices is never easy, but it's essential to living a fulfilling life. If you don't make tough choices, someone else will make them for you. And you may not like the results. However, if you can take some moment to identify what's important to you and how you want it more than anything else, you can start making choices that will get you closer to your goals. Joseph understands the importance of relationship and covenant with God and his master, and he was no different. He was the best man in Potiphar's house. Potiphar's wife wanted Joseph, so she kept trying to get him to break her husband's rule. (Genesis 39:7) "Lie with me," she demanded. Remember, she was a beautiful woman, and she was insistent. But Joseph was courageous to make a tough choice when Potiphar's wife tempted him. He chose to be a man who would not let his master wife's demands dictate his life. Genesis 3

We should also ask for guidance from God, who knows what is best for us. A single drop of water is insignificant, but when it joins with other drops, it can create a powerful force. We all make choices, and these choices define us. Our decisions determine not only our present but also our future. Every choice we make leads us down a unique path, and we can never go back to change them. So choose wisely and be mindful of the consequences, for your choices will determine the course of your life. The choice you made today can make you happy or sad. "Wisdom makes the wise person stronger than ten rulers in a city." Ecclesiastes 7:19 Wisdom is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it becomes. A young man was in tears when he heard his rich dad died and knew that he wills him nothing except an option to pick one thing and leave the rest of the inheritance to his slave. He didn't know how to react but to cry. Finally, the lawyer told him that he had to decide within seven days, or else everything would be given to his father's slave. While he was trying to decide which choice would be better, the slave began to celebrate his life with joy. Everyone else was making their own choices. Some people say it will be better to choose money because with money comes power. Others say it is better to choose the company because you can have all your needs to be met with the company. Remember, every decision we make shapes the person we become, whether it was chosen for us or not. "For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellency of knowled

Your choices about your education, career, and life goals all contribute to who you are. It is important to be mindful of every choice we make because the future is at stake. I remember a story about King David who chose to commit adultery in 2 Samuel. David, who remains in the palace while his troops are deployed in the war, spies a woman bathing from his rooftop after a late afternoon siesta. The woman is Bathsheba, wife of Uriah the Hittite. David sends for her and sleeps with her, knowing that she is married. Later, to cover everything up (in a short story), David has Uriah killed so that he can marry Bathsheba. 2 Samuel 24:11 says, "When Da

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." James 1:5 One decision can change your life because it sets off a chain reaction of other decisions. So making one small decision can change your life. For example, if you decide to get up early in the morning and go for a walk, you might start feeling more energetic and be more productive during the day. Or, if you decide to eat healthier foods, you might start losing weight and feeling better overall. So just making one small change can have a big impact on your life! If someone you choose to stay in bed instead of going to work, they'll probably miss work and get fired. That one decision can lead to becoming homeless and unemployed. I remember a story of a young man who had a dream job at a technology company but loved his bed more than work. One day he chooses to stay in bed instead of going to work. Despite warnings from his friends, the young continued to stay in bed and play video game

"How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get an understanding is to be chosen rather than silver." Proverbs 16:16 Choosing to do something, or not doing something, has a profound impact on our lives. It can define who we are and what we stand for. It is always important to be mindful of the choices we make in life because they have a lasting impact. Proverbs 16:16 says, "How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get an understanding is to be chosen rather than silver." In other words, wisdom is better than any other material possession. It is also better than being intelligent because understanding leads to good choices. Ecclesiastes 7:12 says, "For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defens
