  • If Your Life Is Worth $100

    14/10/2016 Duración: 10min

Nothing is Certain Except Change Time passes quickly and change happens all around us every day. Like it or not. Enjoy the moment while you can, one day it will just be another memory. -Unknown   As I eluded to in the last post, time is fickle and health can be fleeting. Inflammation is a major player in system dysfunction. So how do you know if you are inflamed? You might feel it as soreness or edginess, but having objective data is a clear way to verify and validate how you feel.   Figuring It Out With the advent of electronic medical records, access to your results has never been easier. The two tests I want you to look for in your records: CBC with differential ESR 0r CRP (hs-CRP)   This may seem a bit scientific and tedius, but bear with me as I'll explain it in simple terms and I go over it on the podcast (click above to listen). I also covered this on the Periscope broadcast (Tuesdays 12 noon CST). CBC with Differential CBC = complete blood count This test measures things like white blood cells (WBC), hemoglobin and platelets (sticky things that keep you from bleeding). The differential is a breakdown of the different types of white blood cells. These have various functions, but that's not key to know right now. Look for the following: Monocytes Eosinophil

    12/11/2015 Duración: 42min

Yoga With A Powerful Purpose It's More Than You Think Life rolls on at a frenetic pace and keeping track of kids, friends, family and everything else takes discipline. My first adventure on horseback was nothing short of comical, but her positive attitude and spirit got me back to the stable in one piece. Much has changed since then, including both of us and after learning about her journey I thought her mission and passion was a perfectly aligned with the theme of the Project You podcast. Listen in to our conversation as she shares her journey from the stress of a 9111 dispatcher to a new life. Kristin shares her vision about what's possible through the
