How To Deal With Stress and Emotional Eating
15/02/2019 Duración: 35minThis week we discuss stress and emotional eating with Erin Wathen (WATH- EN) Erin is a holistic health coach, food abuse counselor, and the inspiring author of brand new book called Why Can’t I Stick to My Diet?: How To End The Food Drama. Her philosophy, simply put: Health isn’t a number on the scale or how often we exercise, but our lives as a whole. As a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and a Food Addiction Counselor, Erin was well versed in the science behind health. As a Certified Spinning® Instructor, Vinyasa Yoga instructor, and Classical Pilates instructor, she understood the mechanics of health and fitness as well. Through a lot of trial and error, Erin found true nutrition to be the missing piece of the puzzle. It was then that Erin started her last diet, which ultimately became her food plan and the basis of her health coaching program, as well as her book Why Can’t I Stick to My Diet? The book is currently available online at Amazon and should be available in bookstores in now.

Stillness - 3 Minutes - Practice Presence
08/01/2019 Duración: 03minToday I want to invite you to be still . . Thomas Merton says “So perhaps I have an obligation to preserve the stillness, the silence, the poverty, the virginal point of pure nothingness which is at the Center of all other loves.” . . It’s a pretty strong statement but you just might find that the more you practice silence and stillness the more you will be drawn to it. . . I don’t know about you, but in spite of my best efforts my mind and my body are anything but still most of the time. My mind especially, is almost always racing. . . At the same time, as Merton says stillness, silence, poverty, and the virginal point of nothingness already exist in some mysterious way. On some level we know it and stillness helps to get all of the unknowing out of the way, so that we can truly know as the Psalmist says in Psalm 46.10. . . If you’re ready to practice stillness using this Psalm, I invite you to do it now. If this moves too fast for you, take some time later on and slow it down. . . Let’s do a very quick body

Let Go
05/01/2019 Duración: 03minEP 02 | 3 minutes | Practicing Presence Today I want to invite you to let go Once in a while, something reaches our awareness and we know intuitively that we need to let go Fighting a with something that we need to let go of is a battle that we can’t win. It’s not worth negotiating when something that you need to let go of reaches your awareness. The detrimental effects of not letting go can be anger and depression. Is it time to let go of something that you cannot change, or something or someone that you are trying to control? When you et go it’s a form of surrender. Letting go opens you up to the help that is available. It may be the help of a trusted friend, or it may be the help of the god of your understanding. If there is something that has reached your awareness that you need to let go of I invite you to let go now. Let’s use our breath. Take a breath in and on the out breath let go of everything that I have said so far. Take a breath in and on the out breath let go of the last 24 hours. Ta
