Bob Proctor; Legend and Mentor
07/02/2022 Duración: 21minBob Proctor, Legend and Mentor is the topic of my episode today. I've been reflecting on the fact that my longtime mentor Bob Proctor, has passed. That happened on Thursday, February 3. Bob Proctor has been a mentor of mine since the 80s. Back in the 80s I followed Bob and in the 90s, I was in a mastermind with him. Bob Proctor was amazing in so many ways. He was deeply knowledgeable and he could talk about and share his wisdom in such a way that you would be able to easily absorb what he was saying. One of the things that Bob would say was, ‘this is not my material.' He would say, This is material that I've learned from other people, everything you're hearing from me, I've learned from other people. Listen & Subscribe on: iTunes / Stitcher / Podbean / Overcast / Spotify Who is Bob Proctor? Not only has Bob been my mentor for a long time, but in my opinion, Bob Proctor is a legend. Stay tuned and I will share why I believe Bob is a legend. Bob is a fellow Canadian, living relatively close by in Toronto. H

Jack Canfield’s Success Principles Revealed
31/01/2022 Duración: 11minJack Canfield offers Success Principles that can help anyone move forward in their lives. I interviewed Jack Canfield back in April 2020. Jack Canfield is the man who, with a partner started the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series. He ended up selling more more books than practically anyone else in the English language that I know of anyway. It was fascinating to talk with Jack and to hear him share stories and talk about his success principles that he teaches. And I thought, why don't I have a chat with you today and just reveal to you those success principles. Jack is a down-to-earth, gentle kind of man; definitely a person who practices mindfulness. Why Be An Optimist?
24/01/2022 Duración: 14minWhy Be An Optimist is the question I ask of you today. Have you ever thought about this question? I believe there are many reasons to be an optimist, although I think many individuals may not feel they have a choice. In my opinion, you do have a choice as to whether you are seen as an optimist or a pessimist. This depends on you. Mindfulness can help you think differently and it can help you be seen differently by others. Today I am sharing 5 reasons why you will become more of an optimist as you grow your mindfulness practice. Living With Yourself
17/01/2022 Duración: 15minLiving with yourself is the topic I've decided to cover today. We often have a dialogue with ourselves that looks like a back and forth conversation. I often talk about the inner bully, and how some of that chatter that's going on is not very positive or encouraging. Sometimes we say mean and nasty things to ourselves that we would never say to another person. So we really have to be careful of how we converse with ourselves in our own minds. Listen & Subscribe on: iTunes / Stitcher / Podbean / Overcast / Spotify Awareness As soon as you become aware of how you're living with yourself and what your inner chatter is saying to you, then you can do something about it. You have to identify it first, and clearly listen to the words you are saying. Living With Yourself is a TV show on Netflix featuring actor, Paul Rudd. At first, I didn't think of this show in the context of mindfulness and the inner bully, but the more I thought about it I realized it was related. The main character in this show has two sides.

Wow, What A Ride
10/01/2022 Duración: 24minWow, What A Ride is the name of this episode. Let me tell you what inspired me to share this topic with you today. My wife sent me a quote, “life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of riding safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud ‘o smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, wow, what a ride.” This quote is by Hunter S. Thompson. I thought what an interesting concept to think about. After all, mindfulness is often thinking about healthy eating and just being happy and healthy and living that kind of life. Do you sometimes think it's risky to be too careful? Maybe being too careful will cause us to miss out on life. This quote says hey, live your life, enjoy your life. I decided to look up Hunter S. Thompson and find out more about him. Listen & Subscribe on: iTunes / Stitcher / Podbean / Overcast / Spotify Who Is Hunter? I can use my word of the year to be inspired every day, in one way or another. Let's talk about having a word of the year. Do you think having a word of the year is a valuable exercise? Before we talk about the word of the year, I want to share with you a quote for the year that I thought was meaningful. I put it up on TikTok to share with the world. Listen & Subscribe on: iTunes / Stitcher / Podbean / Overcast / Spotify A Quote Here's the quote, “be the one who is so busy loving your life, that you have no time for hate, regret, or fear.” I think there's a lot to that quote that's valuable; be the one who is so busy loving your life. And that's related to loving yourself, of course, because if you have a dislike for yourself, if you have a hate-on for yourself, you're probably going to have a hate-on for your life. And so I think it's one in the

A Holiday Wish
27/12/2021 Duración: 20minI just really wish you the very best, Mindful Tribe. I wish that you feel this amazing feeling in your life of calm focus, and happiness. And that's because way back in 2015, when I started the Mindfulness Mode Podcast, one of my goals was that through mindfulness, I would be able to help you, my listener, learn how to experience calm, focus, and happiness. And that's why I chose that as my tagline; reach new heights of calm focus and happiness. I've been learning the subtle details of mindfulness along with you, Mindful Tribe. I've been learning from all my fantastic guests, and I've learned that it's important to understand about our emotions. That we have to live with our emotions, and to welcome and open to our emotions. That's pretty much where it all starts. Understanding that when we suppress our emotions, that's not a good thing. It's not healthy to suppress your emotions, push them away, do things so that we can just ignore them pretend they're not there. That's certainly something I've done a lot in

Joyous Seasonal Mindfulness
20/12/2021 Duración: 29minWelcome Mindful Tribe. Today the show is about seasonal mindfulness because when we're celebrating, let's use mindfulness to help us fully enjoy the moments. Enjoy the peace and quiet. Enjoy the bustle, and the hustle and joy, the vibrancy. I talked last week about how you can get through this, if this is challenging for you. If this is a season that does not feel joyous or happy or exciting, what do you do? In this case, I urge you to check out last week's episode, “Overcome Holiday Sadness”. It's Episode 718. How can we enjoy this season even more, and experience more joy and more bliss? The answer is to notice one of those things that we do every day. We do it every hour. We do it every single hour that we're alive. And of course, you know now what I'm talking about. I'm talking about breathing. And when I first started my podcast, I thought well, I'll ask every guest about breathing. Now I realize that every guest has something interesting to say about breathing, even if what they say is, wow, this is som
